JASMINE Theater, Grand Opening!! This restaurant, whose main branch in Hiroo was selected as one of the "100 Best Chinese Restaurants," has always been on my list to try. But I never got around to it, and then, to my surprise, I discovered a branch inside Coredo Nihonbashi! I decided to visit for a quick weekend lunch. ✨ 【Order】 ■ Sizzling Chicken Soup Noodles (¥1,400) Comes with pickled mustard greens and almond tofu. This dish features their signature Sizzling Chicken, transformed into a soup noodle. Shredded chicken and plenty of scallions are mixed with their homemade Sizzling Chicken sauce and served with a salt-based soup. The first sip of the soup reveals a refined, mellow, classic clear broth. It might seem a bit bland at first, but as you mix in the Sizzling Chicken sauce from the center, the flavor evolves with each bite. The latter half of the soup delivers a tingling spice that leaves you slightly sweaty. (For those who can't handle spice, you can request a milder version!) The noodles are thin, springy, and have a slight chewiness. They pair perfectly with the soup. And then there's the Sizzling Chicken, piled high in the center! It's even more generous than it looks, offering a satisfying amount. I recommend enjoying it alternately with the noodles for an even more delicious experience. The soup evolves as you eat, becoming more and more complete. I ended up finishing it all with a spoon. The lunch menu features about 10 different options, including dry noodles and set meals, all of which are incredibly tempting. If I'm ever in Nihonbashi and need to decide on lunch, I'll definitely be back! Thank you for reading! ✨ Today's review concludes here. !!
This is my go-to spot for mapo tofu when I need a lunch pick-me-up during work. The line can be crazy between 11:45-13:00, so it's better to go a little later. It's got a good kick and a nice savory flavor, but it's a little light on the spice for me, so I always ask for extra Sichuan peppercorns to sprinkle on top. This time I tried their new Mala Noodles. They have a strong soy sauce flavor and a taste similar to the mala sauce used for dan dan noodles, which made for a great lunch. Apparently, this is a breakfast dish in China.
Michelin Bib Gourmand Dan Dan Noodles! I visited "Chuka Kosa Jasmine Koufuku Chubo" directly connected to Nihonbashi Station. It's located on the B1 floor of Coredo Nihonbashi. Their main branch in Hiroo is a Bib Gourmand and one of the top 100 Chinese restaurants. I arrived right after they opened on a weekday evening and there was no wait. I was able to enter smoothly. I ordered the Sesame Dan Dan Noodles with Chili Oil for 1,300 yen. It was served in a little over 5 minutes. It came with pickled mustard greens and almond tofu. The Dan Dan Noodles were creamy with a rich sesame aroma. The spiciness was just right, and the minced pork was flavorful and delicious. The thin noodles with a wave-like texture were cooked to a soft consistency and went well with the soup. They were delicious. I enjoyed everything, including the almond tofu, until the very last bite.
The signature dish is the "Yodare-dori" (Sichuan-style chicken), but I wasn't particularly impressed after having the "Yodare-dori" at "Narryu" recently. It was just average. The tables are crammed into the space, creating a cramped feeling, making it unsuitable for a date. The prices are high, but it's okay for a quick meal for salarymen. The Mapo Tofu is spicy and delicious. If you have a big appetite, I recommend ordering the "Yodare-dori" set and a small plate of Mapo Tofu for a satisfying meal.
This is a branch of a famous Chinese restaurant in Hiroo, located on the basement floor of Coredo Nihonbashi. There are often lines during weekdays at lunchtime. Their signature dish is the "Yodare-dori" (Sichuan-style chicken). The chicken is tender and the sauce is incredibly delicious. If you enjoy spicy food, I recommend trying the "Marayou Soba" (Spicy Dan Dan Noodles).
