A highly recommended cafe when visiting Nihonbashi Takashimaya. It has an outdoor terrace that faces away from the street, allowing for a relaxing tea break. As it's a Fauchon cafe, tea lovers should definitely check it out 🫖. I hadn't had lunch yet, so I ordered a single item with a drink set. I went for the croque monsieur and chai tea. Fauchon's bread is delicious, and I often buy it from the basement food hall. However, the toast here is perfectly done, making it even more delicious. The chai tea isn't overly spiced, making it easy to drink and highly recommended. I added a macaron at the end. It's perfect for a little sweet treat. The interior is always quite cold due to the air conditioning. The terrace is dog-friendly, but I haven't seen many people using it. The staff are all very sharp and make a great impression. All the young female staff provide excellent service, truly living up to the Fauchon standard.
This cafe is located near Tokyo Station, but it wasn't crowded and I was able to enjoy a relaxing meal. The prices were reasonable, but the sandwiches and French toast were delicious, with a flavor that only a chef could create. The interior was bright and airy with a white theme, and I was very satisfied.
I was surprised to find a cake set for under ¥1,500 at 2407. The tea, which is named after the shop, had a lovely aroma. The orange mousse cake was refreshing and delicious. I thought it would be very sweet because of the marzipan, but there was only a small amount of marzipan on top of the sponge, so it wasn't overly sweet. I definitely want to go back!
I visited for afternoon tea. I had the pistachio crème brûlée and a café latte. The outdoor terrace seating was very comfortable. The pistachio brûlée was fragrant and delicious.
Christmas dinner for 11 people, with a fee of ¥6,000, including pre-dinner drinks (wine, beer, fresh orange juice, etc., selectable) and post-dinner drinks. Honestly, I didn't expect much in terms of quantity, but it was quite filling, and I was full by the time I got to dessert. The service was also very attentive and thoughtful. The drinks and desserts were not skimped on. All 11 women in our group raved about it and said they would definitely come back. The location is great, it's stylish, and the value for money is excellent. ❤️ I would recommend this place over Mariage Frères, as it's more accessible. For appetizers, you can choose from Périgord-style salad, oyster gratin, or seafood aioli soup. For the main course, you can choose from sea bass with mango sauce or pork cutlet 'Devil Style' (slightly spicy demi-glace sauce). For dessert, you can choose from orange soufflé, crème brûlée, or apple pie. It also comes with bread. For post-dinner drinks, there are many options, including Fauchon apple tea, chai, café au lait, herbal tea, and more.
