This bakery has become a must-visit for me whenever I'm in Ginza, ever since I received their bread as a gift. My favorites are: * **Fig Bread** I always toast this bread at home after slicing it. It's made with dried figs, and the amount of figs incorporated is just perfect! Too much and you wouldn't be able to taste the bread's aroma, too little and it would be disappointing. This one is just right. It was labeled as their No. 3 most popular bread. * **Croissant** You can't resist buying it when it's labeled as the No. 1 most popular, right? It's definitely flaky, and they use fermented butter, which gives it a wonderful buttery aroma. Personally, I'm not a big fan of croissants with too much butter, so this one was just right for me, and I really enjoyed it. This time, I had already bought bread from Panju Kuon in Atami on my way back from a trip there, so I couldn't buy much. I'll definitely try some of their other breads next time.
I found a uniquely shaped scone and took it to go. Maison Kayser is generally affordable and pretty tasty, making it a worthwhile place to visit. The scone had a crunchy sugar texture and was on the sweeter side. The exterior was crispy, while the inside was moist. It's a bakery-style scone. It's different from the typical scone, but it's definitely delicious. I think the ordinary nature of Maison Kayser is a good thing. Their croissants are huge and inexpensive!
Apple pie with cinnamon flavor and sliced apples Visited "Maison Kayser Shop Ginza Matsuya", a 3-minute walk from Ginza Station. Arrived before 12:00 pm on a weekday, and there were a few people in front of the store. I was able to check out immediately. I purchased a "Chosson Opum" for 360 yen. It's an apple pie with sliced apples and cinnamon flavor. The pie crust is crispy, and the sweetness of the apples and the cinnamon flavor go together perfectly, making it delicious. I enjoyed it until the very last bite.
The Allumette Sesame sold here is a unique, stick-shaped bread that's perfect for both snacks and appetizers. While I used to love the extra-long sticks, these shorter, more manageable ones are also easy to buy. The light sweetness of honey, the satisfying crunch, and the nutty flavor of black sesame are truly one-of-a-kind.
Maison Kayser's Croque Monsieur. It was way better than I expected! ❤️ It was a huge surprise. The other day, I saw Maison Kayser in the basement food court of Matsuya Ginza, so I bought some bread. ❤️ Two slices of bread with cheese and ham sandwiched in between. ❤️ I warmed it up in the toaster for a minute and it was so delicious, I was shocked! ‼️ It was perfectly toasted and the aroma of the cheese was amazing. ❤️ The staff at Maison Kayser were incredibly kind. ❤️ Highly recommended.
