This is a manju (sweet bun) shop located within Ameya-Yokocho. Their manju have a refreshing sweetness from the white bean paste. They offer a generous amount at an affordable price, making them perfect for souvenirs or family gatherings. If you're looking for a refreshing treat in the Ueno area, this is the place to go! It's a famous shop that has even been featured on television.

Delicious! I was expecting something like "Imagawayaki" (a type of Japanese pastry), but this was a completely different treat with a much finer texture and a smooth, white bean paste filling. Currently, they only offer three sizes (I think it was 10, 12, and 20 pieces), so I bought several smaller boxes. They put each box in a bag and then put all the bags together in another bag, so I could carry them home warm. The owner told me they start baking the day's supply at 5:30 in the morning. They also spend a lot of time preparing the white bean paste, and when I tasted it, I thought, "Wow, they must have spent hours on this flavor." For such quality, the price is truly amazing. I'll definitely buy some for myself and for gifts. My family loved them, and I was so happy. Please keep making these delicious treats!

I stumbled upon this place while traveling in Tokyo. It reminded me of the steamed buns from my hometown, so I had to buy some. It was late in the afternoon, so they only had 10-piece packs left. I didn't have high expectations since it was just a similar concept, but it was delicious! The exterior had a cake-like texture, and the filling was so delicate. I wish I had bought more! It was a truly regretful experience.

A long-established shop in Ameya-Yokocho, a place that has been around for ages. The store itself has a nostalgic feel. The taste is simple yet satisfying, a kind of manju that never gets old and goes well with both tea and coffee. I hope they continue to preserve their authentic flavor.

The Sogo Manju, filled with white bean paste, that used to be sold at Chiba Sogo. This place offers the same nostalgic flavor, likely made by the same machine. They come in small boxes of 10 and even gift boxes, making them perfect for presents. I hope they continue to sell them for a long time.
