I personally like the croissant sandwiches, but my daughter thinks it's better to go to a different place considering the price! As for the melon shortcake, the whipped cream was delicious at first bite, but after a couple more bites, my daughter and I both agreed... 😖⤵️
I was asked to get a fruit sandwich from Sembikiya for a travel souvenir, so I came here. Not only cakes, but also gift sweets are available, so if you're looking for souvenirs or gifts, Sembikiya is the way to go! You can't go wrong here. I only came for the fruit sandwich, but there were so many sparkling jellies and cakes lined up that I couldn't help but be distracted. Just looking at them makes you happy. The showcase was filled with cakes overflowing with fruit. Sembikiya uses so much fruit and the price is reasonable. There are many other cake brands in the basement of the department store, but this is definitely worth it. My son, who loves fruit, was very happy to eat the strawberry chocolate sandwich and the fruit sandwich. My father was happy to eat the thick butter sandwich. Next time, I'll buy a cake for myself!
I always visit Ginza Sembikiya, a well-known fruit shop. Their grapefruit jelly and orange jelly are classics. I also recommend their cakes and chocolates. This time, I visited on Saturday afternoon at 1 pm. To my surprise, there was a sign that said "Freshly baked bread!" For the first time, I tried their bread. I was meeting three friends that day, so I bought four loaves. Each loaf cost 486 yen, so I spent a total of 1944 yen. Pay attention to the calories! It's 915 calories per loaf! The bread is dense and flavorful, as you'd expect from something with that many calories. When toasted, it has a crispy crust and a fluffy interior, with a rich flavor. I guess the equation "calories = delicious" is true. I'll worry about my diet later.
It's upscale, but the service is refined, attentive, and never overbearing. The cakes and puddings are absolutely delicious.
I had some chocolate from here a few years ago and it was so delicious that I've been wanting to visit the store ever since. Finally, I was able to go! It seems like the chocolate is only available at the Tsukiji branch. I bought a box of all nine flavors without the box for a little over 3,000 yen. The taste is amazing, of course, but the visuals are absolutely stunning.
