I visited for the first time because of the good reviews. I've been to Asakusa many times but didn't know about this place. I bought one apple pie and one Tokyo cookie. They were incredibly delicious! I love apple pie and eat it often, but this one was simple, not greasy, and had a nice, crispy texture. The cookies were a bit pricey, but they came in a pack of 10 small ones. The quality is truly excellent. I'll make a reservation next time! I'll definitely be back!
This is a hidden gem of a dessert shop in Asakusa, away from the bustling streets. Their "Cinnamon Cream Puff" is filled with cream upon order. It's made without artificial flavoring or vanilla beans. It was even featured on "Ad Street." The beautifully browned pastry is filled with a generous amount of cream. It's a steal at 280 yen. I enjoyed it with a friend right in front of the shop. I also bought their "Honey Apple Pie." It has an incredible 576 layers of pastry! It's made without artificial flavoring, preservatives, or margarine. It was also featured on "Ad Street" and "Chii Sanpo." This one is also a bargain at 240 yen. The honey apple pie and cinnamon cream puff are baked fresh every morning at 11:00 AM. The shop has detailed information about their products posted both inside and outside, showcasing the owner's passion and love for their craft. They can whip up a birthday cake in 45 minutes, so it's perfect for those who forget to buy one last minute.
I'm a big foodie! 🦍 While strolling through Asakusa, I spotted a shop that caught my eye! I was craving something sweet, so I decided to give it a try. There were so many delicious options to choose from, it was hard to decide! I ended up trying three different treats: * **Cinnamon Shoe Ice Cream Sandwich:** The cinnamon aroma was subtle, but the ice cream itself was perfectly balanced. It was as delicious as it looked! * **Custard Shoe:** This adorable little pastry had a simple yet complex custard cream that hinted at a lot of care in its preparation. The soft choux pastry and creamy filling were a perfect match. * **Honey Apple Pie:** Don't let the small size fool you! This pie was packed with apples, and the flavor was even better than I expected. The crispy pie crust and juicy apples were a delightful combination. It was a delicious treat! Thank you for the wonderful experience!
A bakery specializing in Western-style sweets since 1965. They don't use artificial flavorings and keep ingredients to a minimum. They strive for a smooth texture, pleasant aftertaste, and flavors that don't get old, focusing on the delicate taste and aroma of natural ingredients. I was aiming for their homemade cinnamon cream puff ice cream sandwich, which was featured on the TV show "Soko-san no Otodokemono desu." ♢ Cinnamon Cream Puff Homemade Ice Cream Sandwich 330 yen This ice cream sandwich is only available at the bakery. You should definitely try it! The smooth, melting ice cream and the cinnamon flavor of the cream puff dough are perfectly balanced. ♢ Honey Apple Pie 240 yen No artificial flavorings. No cinnamon added. Made with carefully selected flour, premium Hokkaido butter, and natural ingredients for their taste and aroma. A flaky pie with 576 layers, carefully crafted to maintain its crispness. The pastries are delicious, and the staff is kind and attentive, making it a place I want to visit again. ♢ Accepts PayPay ♢ No parking
This shop has a long history, so I believe they have deep thoughts about their craft and the history they've experienced. My rating this time is based on the fact that I was expecting a regular sweet pastry, so from that perspective, it was completely unsweet and didn't suit my taste. However, I still recommend visiting and trying it for yourself. Custard Cream Puff - ¥260 **Shape:** It's small. Lately, there have been many voluminous cream puffs, so this one felt particularly small. **Taste:** It's almost completely unsweet. I think they're aiming for a natural flavor by not using artificial flavorings, but the cream lacks fluffiness and has a slightly oily taste. **Balance:** Since it's almost completely unsweet, you might be left wondering "???" if you're expecting a sweet pastry. This shop has a long history, and I believe they have deep thoughts about their craft, having gone through trial and error, continuous refinement, and the waves of history to arrive at this flavor.
