I visited on a weekday afternoon. I bought two of each of three different kinds of pastries as gifts. It was a hot day, so I took the staff's recommendation and enjoyed them without reheating. The caramel was rich and the pastry was crispy and delicious. But it might have been a bit too sweet for an older gentleman. I'll try reheating them next time.
I purchased this baked good at a Takashimaya department store event. It's a baked good made with caramel, which I love. I chilled it in the refrigerator before eating it. The cookie is thick and has a crunchy, firm texture. I love firm cookies, so the texture is amazing. The cookie has a gentle sweetness and a rich buttery flavor, which pairs perfectly with the slightly bitter caramel. The slightly bitter caramel flavor and the cookie's texture are so good that I devoured it in no time. It was so delicious and made me feel happy, so thank you. It's thick and large, so one piece is satisfying. It was a delicious treat. 2024 ◆Melmel 4 pieces
Located on the first floor of Shibuya Scramble Square, this shop specializes in sweets made with caramel. I purchased the 'melmel' cookies, which feature a chocolate and caramel sauce filling sandwiched between two cookies. They come in packs of 6, 10, or 15 cookies. The only physical store is located in Shibuya Scramble Square. Otherwise, they are available at pop-up events or through their official online shop.
Mel's Caramel Works is a shop produced by La Terre in San-juku, Setagaya Ward. There is only one store in Tokyo, located on the 1st floor of Shibuya Scramble Square. Their Melmel 10-piece box, priced at ¥1,700 including tax, has a long shelf life and is highly recommended.
I purchased these items at a store located in front of "Gin no Suzu" in Gransta, Tokyo Station. I bought "Caramel" (2 pieces for ¥378) and "Mels SAND" (3 pieces for ¥1188). (Refrigeration required) The caramel is a fresh caramel that melts in your mouth. I love the "berry" flavor. If you like caramel, I highly recommend it.
