【Access】 The Japanese confectionery shop is located on Chuo-dori Street, about a minute's walk from Ginza Station on the subway. 【Operating Hours and Store】 I visited on a Sunday evening around 7 pm. The store was packed with people, both inside and outside. The interior has a traditional Japanese feel. It's a counter-service shop. ◼︎Station: Close ◼︎Line: Yes ◼︎Ambiance: Traditional Japanese ◼︎Price: Value for money ◼︎Payment: Credit cards accepted ◼︎Bags: Charged 【Japanese Confectionery】 ◆Sakura Mochi / ¥270 / Tax included It's a Domyoji-style sakura mochi. The mochi dough is chewy and the filling is a moist, sweet red bean paste. The fragrant sakura flavor makes this daifuku delicious. ◆Japanese Apricot Daifuku / ¥324 / Tax included The mochi dough is chewy. The smooth red bean paste filling has a delightful tartness from the apricot, making this daifuku delicious. 【Staff】 The staff members work efficiently. 【Finally】 This is a Japanese confectionery shop that you often see in department stores. While it's not quite as renowned as Toraya, it's the main store of a well-known Japanese confectionery shop. This was my first visit to the main store. The main store has a rather dazzling and luxurious feel. I guess they're doing well. Thank you for the delicious treats! ^^ ◼︎Focus: Red bean paste ◼︎Repeat: Yes No. 29012024
I visited "Ginza Akebono Ginza Main Store", a 1-minute walk from Ginza Station. I passed by around 8 PM on a weekday and there was no line, so I decided to go in. The strawberry daifuku sold out right in front of me, so even though it was December, I bought a seasonal limited edition "Shiratama Kuri Daifuku" for 324 yen and a "Shiratama Mame Daifuku (Tsubuan)" for 270 yen. The chestnut daifuku was delicious with its chestnut flavor and sweet bean paste. The bean daifuku was also delicious! I enjoyed it all the way to the end.
There's always a line, so I always get caught up in it and end up joining. While 'Aji no Mingei' and 'Shiratama Mame Daifuku' are popular, Akebono's most popular item is their 'Strawberry Daifuku'. It's only available at the Ginza store. During strawberry daifuku season, the line seems to be especially long. Inbound tourists join the line after seeing Japanese people waiting, which makes the line even longer. I bought: ☑ Strawberry Daifuku ☑ Japanese Apricot Daifuku I was disappointed by the apricot daifuku at a certain Japanese confectionery store because it was filled with apricot jam, but Akebono's Japanese apricot daifuku had real apricot inside and was delicious ♡ The bean paste was moist and sweet. It's best to eat it on the day of purchase.
Utilization: Saturday Access: Right next to Ginza Station A1 Exit on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line Opened at 10:00 AM, visited at 11:30 AM with no wait. There are multiple registers, so you will be guided after ordering. I usually see a line when I pass by after lunchtime, but I was lucky this time, either by chance or good timing. Store-limited Shine Muscat Daifuku 432 yen White Bean Daifuku (Tsubuan) 270 yen Ginza Honey Daifuku 270 yen I had the honey daifuku, and it had a strong flavor. The three lined up together are cute and round. I think both the appearance and taste would make it a popular souvenir. The bean daifuku comes in both koshian and tsubuan, so you can choose according to your preference. Besides fresh sweets, there are also rice crackers and other items, so the range of gifts is wide. For your home or as a souvenir. The taste is delicious, so I recommend it.
【Amazing Seasonal Daifuku, Don't Miss the Arare!】 This is a wagashi shop that values its ingredients. Daifuku made with seasonal fruits are lined up, making it very Instagrammable, and many people are lining up. The location across from Wako also attracts people. Don't think of it as just a trendy thing, the daifuku is delicious with a refined sweetness. One piece is 400 yen. Also, the mizu yokan and kuzu are so delicious that I always end up buying them. I was recommended the arare by someone who works at a nearby shop, and I bought some. From standard ones to ones with interesting flavors, you'll be able to experience something new with each one. It's busy, but the staff are also polite. It looks like this shop will be busy for a while, but the wait isn't too long. Definitely give it a try!
