I purchased a gateau chocolat for ¥3,000. It's said to be healthy because it doesn't use any wheat flour. When enjoyed cold, it's firmer than raw chocolate and melts quickly. It pairs well with coffee. It was a limited-quantity item, so I was glad to be able to purchase it. I thought it would also make a good gift.
I've been wanting to try this place for a while, so I bought a financier and a gateau chocolat! There's no eat-in space, so it's takeout only. The financier was fluffy and moist, with a rich buttery flavor, and it was delicious. The gateau chocolat was not too rich or sweet, and it was also very tasty. It keeps in the fridge for two weeks, which is a big plus! 🥰
Located about a 5-minute walk from Kiyosumi-shirakawa Station on the Hanzomon Line or the Toei Oedo Line. The shop is quite small, with only enough space for about three people at a time. They offer gateau chocolat, cacao pecan nuts, and financier. Everything looks delicious. I bought the gateau chocolat. It's rich and slightly bitter, a sophisticated flavor for adults when eaten straight. Warming it up slightly in the microwave makes it more like a fondant chocolate, bringing out the sweetness. You can enjoy different flavors depending on how you eat it!
Gateau Chocolat! I was surprised to find that the bakery had become a gateau chocolat shop. To be honest, I thought 3,000 yen was expensive, but after taking a bite, it was rich, smooth, and melted in my mouth. It was worth it! If it were half the size for 1,500 yen, I could buy it more often...
I bought some gateau chocolat from that famous shop that just opened. It's a bit pricey, but it's definitely delicious, as expected. They also have baked goods. You should try them!
