◉Menya Musashi, Shibuya◉ Noodles up to 1kg are the same price. This is a huge impact and there's nothing to complain about, right? It's an amazing effort by the company. Thankful. The menu I ordered this time was... Rich White Tsukemen with 4 servings, 500g? 1050 yen ※I always forget the gram amount - 300g isn't enough. 600g should be okay, right? The interior is compact but only has counter seats and has depth, so I was able to enter without waiting. The fact that it's the same price up to 1kg is an amazing service, but the ticket machine always has the special large portions with lots of toppings, and if you look closely, there's a simple tsukemen. The first time I went, I didn't know and got a lot of toppings, and it was too much for me since I don't like eggs. I go there to focus on the noodles. If you order 300g or more, you can get a free refill of the soup once, and they serve it piping hot, so I enjoy it like a flavor change. The thick noodles are almost straight, so I slurp them up with gusto. I make a lot of noise while I eat. This is my favorite way to eat them. I definitely recommend it. Thank you for the meal.
A hearty, flavorful dipping ramen where you can eat up to 1kg of noodles for the same price! The dish I ordered this time was... Thick Black Dipping Ramen (Medium) ¥1,050 (tax included) "Menya Musashi Bukotsu Gaiden" is a popular dipping ramen shop located about a 3-minute walk from Shibuya Station! The shop is compact but has a counter-only seating arrangement with depth, so I was able to enter without waiting. The ordering system is by ticket, so you purchase your ticket and then take a seat. It's amazing that you can eat up to 1kg of noodles for the same price! If you're feeling hungry, this is the place to go! This time, I ordered the Thick Black Dipping Ramen, which features a unique soy sauce-based sauce that is characteristic of Musashi. The sauce itself is delicious even when eaten with the noodles! The noodles are thick and chewy, and the rich dipping broth made from chicken and pork bones is a perfect match. Dip the noodles thoroughly in the broth and slurp them up with gusto - it's so delicious, it's moving! Finally, I diluted the broth with hot water and drank it all. Why not try enjoying the noodles with the two-pronged attack of the sauce and the dipping broth?
I worked part-time at this restaurant over 10 years ago. It's great to see that they now accept credit cards at the vending machine and have added foreign language support. While there were new menu items, the rich dipping noodles still tasted as good as I remembered. Since some foreigners might be trying dipping noodles for the first time, it would be helpful to have instructions on how to eat them in English. (Back then, there were no instructions and I saw people mistakenly pouring the dipping broth into the noodle bowl.)
August 15, 2024 It's been a long time since I last visited! Maybe around 2007? I can't remember exactly (laughs). I've been here a few times, but I always end up going to the more rustic Okachimachi location (it's a matter of preference and the local vibe). But Shibuya is no slouch either! This time I tried the meat-extra black tsukemen, and the meat was absolutely delicious! I ordered a regular portion of noodles, but I could have probably handled a large (laughs). The noodles are truly amazing. For Musashi-style ramen, you can't go wrong with Tamachi, Okachimachi, or Shinjuku! Akihabara is good too, but I just prefer the rustic style. Thank you for the delicious meal.
The rich, pork bone and seafood broth of the tsukemen (dipping noodles) and the melt-in-your-mouth braised pork belly are truly mouthwatering.
