I live in Asakusa, and this is my absolute favorite restaurant. If I'm going out to eat with someone, this is the first place I book. Reservations are usually available a few days in advance, and the counter-only seating creates a great atmosphere. There's no menu, and the dishes come out one after another, so you don't have to worry about ordering, which is stress-free. Most importantly, the food and sake are delicious, and even if you drink a fair amount, it's around 10,000 yen per person. The chicken meatballs are especially delicious. It's a fantastic restaurant that I can take my partner, friends, or even junior colleagues to.
I was surprised by the yakitori course for 5,500 yen (tax included)! The content was amazing! It started with appetizers, followed by about six skewers of yakitori. There were also palate cleansers in between, and it ended with ochazuke (tea rice). You can order more if you're still hungry, or you can stop midway if you're full. The yakitori was delicious, and the ochazuke was exquisite! I also got to try some unusual sake, and I was very satisfied. I realized that this is what a good value-for-money restaurant is all about. I definitely want to go back!
This is the best yakitori in Asakusa. The omakase course features exquisite dishes that pair perfectly with carefully selected sake and wine. You can also order additional items if you wish. Counter seating only.
The skewers were all delicious. The individual dishes were just okay. It would have been better if everything had been skewers. The omakase course with an additional 3 skewers and 4 drinks cost around 10,000 yen.
The ingredients, saltiness, and level of doneness were all perfect. The liver with its hint of sansho pepper was especially delicious. The sake selection was excellent, with many lesser-known brands. The lemon sour was also very good. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely be back.
