This was my first visit to the PECK store in Nihonbashi Takashimaya. I was surprised by how small it was. The Shinjuku Takashimaya store is definitely larger and has a wider variety of products. I was in and out of the Omiya store in a flash. I absolutely love PECK's focaccia. The olive oil and salt that seep out when you bite into it are simply divine! The first time I tried it, I was so impressed that I went back to buy more even though I had already driven away! This focaccia with its dripping olive oil is truly unique. I always make sure to check before I buy it. This time, each focaccia was individually bagged, and I could clearly see the olive oil in the bag. Before they started bagging them, the olive oil would seep out onto the tray where the bread was displayed. I deducted one star for the small size of the store and the limited selection.

I bought two kinds of bread, a loaf of shokupan (Japanese milk bread) and a cooked bread. It was pretty good when I ate it at home. The shopping bag was a pretty large paper bag, so it was pretty empty. 😅 The cream puffs looked delicious too.

A Piccolo Sandwich (Shrimp & Egg) you won't find anywhere else! I visited "Peck Nihonbashi Takashimaya Store" located on the B1 floor of Nihonbashi Takashimaya Main Building, directly connected to Nihonbashi Station. I arrived around 1 pm on a Saturday, and while the store was crowded, I was able to check out quickly. I purchased a Piccolo Sandwich (Shrimp & Egg) for 195 yen. The plump shrimp and egg filling go well together and are delicious. The fluffy bread has a slight sweetness and is tasty. I enjoyed it all the way to the end.

Before lunch, I scouted for some bread to take home as a souvenir. I found a bakery called PECK in the basement of Takashimaya Nihonbashi that I'd never seen before. My husband looked it up and found out it's from Milan, Italy. I wonder what it tastes like? When I try a new bakery, I always get a croissant. I also picked up a half-size chocolate Danish bread that looked like a kugelhopf, a Valentine's Day special. The croissant was a bit too sweet for my liking, but the chocolate Danish bread was just the right amount of sweetness, and the harmony of the nuts was great 👍

I previously had the pleasure of trying your lemon olive oil and found it absolutely delicious, so I decided to use it in my bread and cookies. The cookies turned out exactly to my liking, with a slightly crumbly texture. They had a very homemade feel and a simple, rustic flavor that I found incredibly enjoyable. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.
