A sandwich shop in Ginza. It's located within a 5-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station. It specializes in fillet cutlet sandwiches. They're really going for a niche market. I went there on a Saturday at around 11:30 am and there were two groups of customers ahead of me. Today I had the following: ✔︎ Premium Beef Fillet Cutlet Sandwich Half (¥1100) I'm not used to hearing "hirekatsu" (fillet cutlet), but it seems like this is how they call it in the Kansai region and parts of the Kinki region. When I looked it up, I found out that this shop originated in Osaka. I see, the shop name "Shinsekai" refers to the one in Osaka. Even though it's a half size, it comes with a fillet cutlet sandwich, salad, and a drink for ¥1100, which is a great deal ✨ You can see and smell the process of carefully removing the tendons from the meat and the fragrant smell of the bread being toasted in the toaster right in front of the counter. First, the salad and drink arrived. I chose iced coffee. The salad was colorful and delicious with sweet potato in it ♪ Then came the fillet cutlet sandwich. Even the half size was plenty. The meat was slightly red in the center, making it rare. The meat was tender and springy (°▽°)! It went well with the sweet and savory sauce ✨ It was nice that it came with pickles. However, to be honest, when it comes to fillet cutlet sandwiches, Kenshiro Group and Gyūin are on a higher level. Nevertheless, it's quite rare to find a place that serves fillet cutlet sandwiches as a single item. It was a very satisfying light meal(*´﹃`*) You can also take it out. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal (●´∀`●)
I visited Bon, famous for their Kitsu Sando in Kita Shinchi, now located in Ginza! I've enjoyed their sandwiches several times at the Kita Shinchi location and even given them as gifts, making it very convenient. The Ginza location has a counter seating area and was full of international customers! I quickly got a half-size Kitsu Sando. The sauce was delicious! The taste was no different from the Osaka location! Thank you for the meal!
I visited around 2 PM on a weekday. There were only two people at the counter. I ordered a pork tenderloin cutlet sandwich to go. It was ready in about a minute, which surprised me. They accept cash, PayPay, and auPAY for payment.
I took home a half-size "Helekatsu" sandwich. The meat was tender and the sauce wasn't too heavy, it was delicious! The shop is small and located a short distance from the Kabuki-za Theatre. Inside, there's a counter for dine-in and a separate counter for takeout.
Grill Bon, located a short distance from the heart of Ginza, is a minimalist establishment with only a few counter seats. The atmosphere is calm and the staff move with efficiency, their work ethic and lack of waste are refreshing. The half lunch set costs 1100 yen. I had tried their takeout before, but this was a different level of deliciousness! The freshly fried beef cutlet was amazing! It's a taste of nostalgic Osaka, and I'll definitely be back for more. Lunch comes with a drink and salad, making it an incredible deal. There was a slight gamey taste to one piece of meat (maybe it was just a fluke?), but overall it was incredibly delicious!
