I had business in Toyosu and went out. For lunch, I went to "Ginza Sicilia Toyosu", a place I'd been wanting to try for a while. I ordered a pasta set that came with bread and cold soup, and an affogato for dessert. It was reasonably priced and delicious. I was satisfied with the meal in the bright and open space. The affogato was different from what I imagined, but it was delicious!

This is the student cafeteria located within the Toyosu Campus of Shibaura Institute of Technology. Normally, it costs ¥500 for students and ¥750 for the general public, but they were running a limited-time campaign where the price for general use was reduced from ¥750 to ¥500, so I took advantage of it. The customers were mostly students and professors, but there were also some women with children who seemed to live in the neighborhood. After entering, I joined the line and ordered at a self-service ordering machine, paid with a code payment, received a bell, and then went to pick up my food when the bell rang. It was a food court style cafeteria. Apparently, their Napolitan is famous, and the person next to me was just picking theirs up. It looked delicious, so I'll have to try it next time. I ordered the daily special, "Spicy Tomato Sauce with Sausage." You can add grated Parmesan cheese at the counter, but you're only allowed one spoonful from the container. Even though it's just one spoonful, it's enough to use generously, which is great for cheese lovers. The pasta was cooked perfectly, with a smooth surface. The sauce was also delicious. For ¥500, it was a great deal. However, I couldn't help but think about the regular price. They also seem to have plate-style set meals, so I'll have to try those next time.

This Italian restaurant, Ginza Sicilia Toyosu, has been in business since 1971. It's located on the campus of Shibaura Institute of Technology, and it functions as both a regular Italian restaurant and a student cafeteria. The main clientele is students. The most popular dish is their version of Napolitan, but I also saw many people eating curry. The interior is unique and stylish. The restaurant is also very clean and hygienic, making for a comfortable dining experience.

For general use. I ordered the crab cream croquette for ¥1,500. It was before 1 p.m., but since it wasn't lunch time, bread, rice, or soup were not included. The restaurant has a stylish atmosphere with an interior that makes extensive use of paper tubes. The chairs were also made of paper tubes.

This restaurant is open to the public. The interior is bright and airy, with a terrace seating area. I tried their recommended Napolitan, priced at 750 yen. Compared to their dinner prices, lunch is quite reasonable. I haven't been to the main branch, so I can't compare, but for this price, the taste and portion size make it a good lunch option in Toyosu. (After checking, the main branch's lunch seems to be cheaper...) Personally, I prefer thicker, chewier bronze-die noodles for my Napolitan, so next time I'll try their oil-based squid and cod roe butter with silicon-die pasta.
