I visited this restaurant in June 2024 to celebrate a friend's birthday. I first heard about it through Google Maps reviews and this was my fifth visit. As usual, I ordered the chef's tasting menu. (Except for the times I went on a whim, I almost always order the chef's tasting menu.) I was completely satisfied with the abundance of delicious seasonal vegetables, fish, and meat prepared over charcoal. Every time I come here, I'm impressed by the meticulous care that goes into the dishes. I'm a big fan! As someone who doesn't drink much, I was especially happy with the moist canelé and gateau chocolat for dessert. They were absolutely delicious! I forgot to take a picture, but the seaweed butter served with the bread is addictive and I always end up asking for more. The restaurant has a calm and comfortable atmosphere, making it perfect for gatherings of 8-10 people, whether it's a celebratory dinner or a girls' night out. It's truly a wonderful place.
This is a hidden gem of a bistro in Tsukiji. Every dish is carefully prepared and pairs perfectly with wine. I'm not much of a drinker, but I would highly recommend it to wine lovers. The crème brûlée we had for dessert was absolutely delicious. The meat was also tender and flavorful, both the marbled and lean cuts were excellent. The restaurant has limited seating, so reservations are essential. The staff was calm and composed, allowing for a relaxing dining experience. I forgot to take a picture, but I would love to have the seaweed butter served with the bread again.
The restaurant opened in July 2020, right at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, a truly challenging time to begin. It's been almost four years now, and I can't help but think how difficult those first two years must have been. This restaurant's specialty is "charcoal-grilled French cuisine." From appetizers to main courses and desserts, everything is cooked over charcoal. I didn't order a set menu this time, so I chose dishes with ingredients I liked. I can't imagine what the difference would be if they used gas instead of charcoal (laughs), but every dish was delicious. I was particularly happy with the pasta dishes. They all featured "friggi," a type of short pasta, but they offered to change it to long pasta if they had any. I opted for a spaghetti with pesto. *It seems they don't always have long pasta on hand.* It's great that they're so flexible, even with someone who isn't a regular customer. It's definitely a factor that makes you want to come back. With only three counter seats and eight table seats, reservations are essential. They also offer private bookings for groups of six or more, so it's likely to become even harder to get a reservation in the future. It's wonderful to have such a great restaurant open in the local Tsukiji area.
I had the dinner course yesterday! It was very reasonable at 6,000 yen and I was very satisfied. I went there on a weekday evening without a reservation, but it's a small place so I recommend making one! You won't regret it 👍😁
Yesterday, I stopped by this place during the Tsukiji lunch pub crawl event. The food was incredibly delicious! ✨ I put the caviar-like sauce on the left side of the plate, [I'm not sure what it was exactly, sorry! 🙇] on bread and it was absolutely amazing! 🌟 It had a slightly strong, almost salty flavor, and it was so good that it disappeared in a flash! 😳 The interior was also great, and it was wonderful to discover a new place. 🌟
