The shortcake here is absolutely divine! The cream is light and not overly sweet, making it incredibly delicious. The sponge cake is particularly noteworthy, with its light texture and taste that speaks of meticulous craftsmanship. It's so light that it doesn't weigh you down at all, allowing you to enjoy it without any discomfort. While their fruit tarts are also delicious, I personally find the shortcake to be the best. It's a surefire hit as a gift for anyone.
This shop, located in the friendly Hachobori area, is a hidden gem with real talent. It pleasantly surprised me in a good way. I bought a "Lemon Tart," "Truffle," and "Smooth Pudding." They were all delicious. The "Lemon Tart (¥480)" has a captivating flavor with the contrast of the chocolate sweetness and the lemon sourness. The tart is filled with a sweet and sour lemon cream, topped with chocolate cream. The "Truffle" has a satisfyingly crisp outer layer, revealing a rich chocolate filling inside. The "Smooth Pudding" also had a surprisingly sophisticated taste. The custard is perfectly smooth and has a solid sweetness, balanced by a slightly bitter caramel sauce. Even I, a fan of firm pudding, was completely won over. According to the staff, the "Galette Breton" is also recommended. I'll definitely be back to this shop.
I placed a reservation for a birthday cake for my favorite idol. From the moment I made the reservation over the phone, I was impressed by the staff's politeness and attentiveness. The in-store service was also kind and courteous. Due to my own circumstances, I was unable to arrive at the scheduled time, but despite my lateness, the staff were incredibly understanding and accommodating, without any hint of displeasure. I had requested a smaller whole cake, so I ordered a rare cheesecake base. It was a sublime rare cheesecake tart with a refined sweetness and a clean aftertaste. The strawberries and blueberries on top added a delightful touch and complemented the cake perfectly. The size was just right. Thanks to them, I had a truly wonderful experience celebrating my idol. I will definitely visit again in the future. 🤍
Is the Shinkawa area becoming more lively? A much-anticipated patisserie opened on January 11, 2022! It's located next to "Oそば Asada" on a side street off Yaesu-dori. You might recognize it as being next to the Brilia tower. A single-family restaurant and apartment building used to be there, but they were redeveloped into a new building, and the patisserie is on the first floor. Four-piece set for ¥1,500. Yesterday and today, they only sold three-piece or four-piece sets. I went around 2:30 pm, and they were almost out of the sets! When I asked about the price of a single piece, they said they hadn't set the price yet. They thought it would be around ¥400. The tarts and cream puffs are delicious! They're far better than the typical department store cakes. All the cakes are small but have a refined taste, and I devoured them in no time. Before, Shinkawa residents had to travel far to buy cake, and it was a real struggle in the summer. Now, we can just pop in and buy some! I'm so happy! They gave me some baked goods as an opening gift. It's a small shop, so I have a feeling it's going to be a mad scramble when it gets popular!
The pear and caramel mousse was delicious. It was much softer than I imagined. The staff member, perhaps a pastry chef, was very friendly and made the shopping experience pleasant.
