I made a reservation and went for breakfast. I chose the course with a main dish like eggs and access to the buffet board with salad, etc. (¥4,235 including tax and service charge). I had the Eggs Benedict. The Eggs Benedict was great, but the buffet food, fruit, smoothies, and other drinks were also excellent. I really like that the seating area isn't too crowded and the atmosphere is calm. Needless to say, I overate...
I visited for afternoon tea. I arrived a little early for my 2 pm reservation, and they kindly prepared a chair for me to sit and wait. After the lunch crowd left, I was seated. However, the curtains were open, making it very hot. I asked them to lower the temperature, but it remained hot until the end. The afternoon tea menu was mainly sweet, with only a few savory items. The seasonal drink recommendations were delicious. They were also happy to accommodate requests for plates when booking, and they confirmed the plate changes when we changed the number of people. Online reservations were only available for up to four people.
I visited for the Peach Afternoon Tea. I have a few concerns, which is why I'm giving a low rating. Firstly, the air conditioning in the shop. It's a high-ceilinged space, so I understand it's difficult to cool, but it was simply too hot. I only saw one industrial fan. Drinks are unlimited within the time limit, but there were very few iced options. In that heat, drinking hot drinks would make you sweat profusely. (This is not a terrace seat.) Secondly, the presentation lacked any sense of style. The burger and fruit jellies were served with dark blue and red Japanese-style picks, but I think they should have used something more appropriate for a peach afternoon tea. Also, the overall presentation was cheap and far from the cute, pink photos on the website. It was served in a cheap, black plastic container (top of the photo). The decorations in the shop and on the table also felt cheap. It might be my photography skills, but it's quite difficult to take Instagram-worthy photos of this afternoon tea. Thirdly, the taste. The peach and mascarpone mont blanc (perhaps due to the heat?) had a runny, lukewarm cream. The fruit jellies were overly sweet, both the jelly and the excessive amount of sugar surrounding it, and I had to wash it down with tea. The scones didn't taste freshly baked. Finally, the waiter. He was able to smoothly explain the sweets and savories. Also, he noticed when our drinks were running low, which is commendable. However, his voice was a little too quiet. The space wasn't exactly quiet, and he was wearing a mask, so I wish he had spoken a little louder. Overall, it was a disappointment.
I went for lunch on a weekday. You go up to the 8th floor from the 7th floor lobby on a separate elevator. There are a lot of women. I had the chef's recommended course for ¥4,598 (including tax) and a mango juice (around ¥1,000). The appetizer was a "Ufalapiperato" with a hint of truffle, and for the main course, you can choose between fish or meat. I chose the fish (sea bream, scallops, and shrimp bouillabaisse). The meat was roast beef with gravy sauce. It came with bread, a recommended dessert, and coffee or tea. The portions were just right and it was delicious. The mango juice was a bit diluted. I want to go back and try the afternoon tea next time.
We made a reservation through Oz Mall for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. The price was reasonable, the staff was very clean and friendly, and we had a very enjoyable experience. Everything was delicious.
