Inside the Ginza Line ticket gate. It's a fairly spacious and quiet store, a hidden gem in the middle of the bustling city. The cashier was a bit cold, but the male staff member who looked like a college student was very polite and helpful. The store is quiet, but it's not suitable for those who want to relax and enjoy the scenery on a sunny day. The sound of the train echoes periodically. I'm not a fan of weak air conditioning, so even this was a bit cold for me.

This is a Sanマルクカフェ located inside the ticket gate of Tokyo Metro. It opens at 7 am. Since it's inside the ticket gate, you can access it without waiting in line. The atmosphere inside the store is calm and relaxing, and there are power outlets available, so you can spend your time leisurely.

Visited on August 15, 2024 at 2 PM. The air conditioning is currently out of order, so the store is not cool. It was empty.

On Saturday afternoons, most restaurants around Ueno Station are packed and have long queues. However, this place is located off the beaten path, so you can usually find a seat. If you need to grab a quick meal for work, there are plenty of seats with power outlets, and the seating is spacious, making it a good choice. While the menu only features bread, the hot sandwich and drink set was relatively satisfying.

The location is absolutely fantastic. It's right by the Ginza Line ticket gate, next to the coin lockers. There are plenty of seats, though some have crumbs on them and the cleaning is a bit rough around the edges, but it's acceptable. With this many seats, the staff at the counter are probably operating at the absolute limit of their capacity. They're doing a great job, but it could get chaotic during peak hours. I'm so grateful they opened a store here.
