As its name suggests, the tea room is exceptional when it comes to tea. From the pot service hot tea to the welcome drink, the tea soda, everything is delicious, truly remarkable. The variety is extensive, allowing you to choose based on your preferences and the day's menu, adding to the enjoyment. While the food features authentic British pastries, it has a home-style quality, which can be seen as both a positive and a negative. However, this home-style aspect could be considered authentic to a genuine tea room. The afternoon tea is quite substantial, so those with smaller appetites might find it difficult to finish. The staff and clientele are almost entirely female, which might make some feel uncomfortable. If you're unsure, it's recommended to try a takeaway scone or carrot cake first to get a feel for the place.
Tiny Toria, a highly sought-after establishment requiring reservations. I made a reservation a month in advance based on a strong recommendation from a close friend. 🫖 The atmosphere inside the shop was incredibly charming, like stepping into a storybook world. ✨ The scones were large and satisfying, especially delicious with the homemade lemon curd. I chose my favorite carrot cake, which was packed with walnuts and nuts, making it absolutely delightful. ✨ But what truly impressed me most was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. They warmed the scones right before serving, promptly cleared our plates, and even took a beautiful photo of us, creating a wonderful memory. ♡ Thank you so much! ♡ I will definitely visit again. ♡
I enjoyed the crumpet lunch with a reservation for 11 am on Sunday. Crumpets, a type of British pancake, were chewy and delicious. The pot service tea was plentiful, more than I could finish. I took home plain scones, double cheese scones, and whole wheat scones with clotted cream. The staff was very attentive and friendly.
Afternoon Tea Experience The sweets were all seasonal and meticulously crafted, making them both delicious and adorable. While the tea wasn't refillable, it's not something you'd drink a lot of anyway, so it was fine. They kindly informed us at the beginning that the scones and some of the sweets could be taken home, which was a wonderful service! They wrapped them up carefully, allowing us to enjoy them again at home, making for a truly happy experience.
The scones and sandwiches were truly delicious. The interior and exterior both have a lovely British feel, and the staff's attentiveness is excellent, so I can see why it's so popular. It's the middle of summer and the outdoor seating is empty, but it's too hot for anyone to use it. If you have a reservation and absolutely need a table, you might be able to sit outside. The cakes are also British-style, so those who prefer Japanese-style moist cakes might not like them. There are a lot of baked sweets made with plenty of flour, so they go well with tea.
