A sweet potato specialty store located just a 1-minute walk from Kinshicho Station. Situated on the first floor of Termina, they now accept JRE Point Cards, which they didn't previously. They offer a wide range of products, including baked sweet potatoes, sweet potato pie, dried sweet potatoes, and sweet potato chips. However, the "Oimo Pie" is a must-buy for me every time. It features a generous combination of various ingredients centered around sweet potato, and limited-edition items often incorporate seasonal fruits and vegetables, making them both exciting and satisfying.
★Time I arrived around 12:30 PM on a weekend afternoon. ★Wait There was no wait by chance. ★What I had I had one medium-sized sweet potato. ★Taste I thought, "Well, it's just sweet potato," but when I opened the box, I thought, "Wow! It's fragrant!" The sugar coating on the outside had a nice aroma. The sweet potato inside was soft and delicious. I thought the combination of sugar and sweet potato was great. Also, it seems to contain lactic acid bacteria. The bottom layer also had almond flakes. It's impossible to stop eating it, lol. ★Cost Performance It was about 500 yen for a medium size. It feels a bit expensive. ★Customer Service I think it's normal. ★Cleanliness The store is cute and clean, I think. ★Allergies The product tag lists allergens, so people with allergies can feel at ease. ★Repeat I wouldn't go out of my way to go there, but if I was nearby, I would buy it again. So, ★★★, 3 out of 5 stars!!!
I've been going there since it opened. I've always loved their potato apple pie. It's always a hit when I bring it as a gift to friends' houses.
I always buy Osatsu no Ki's walnut pies whenever I come to Kinshicho. Their apple and potato pie is also consistently delicious. Prices have gone up since before, so I can't order as many as I used to.
This shop is located to the left after exiting the south gate of Kinshicho Station. I was drawn in by the sweet scent of sweet potatoes and bought a "baked sweet potato sweet potato" made with Satsuma Island-grown Anpan sweet potatoes. It's sold by weight, so I didn't know how much it would cost, but this size was 500 yen. It seems like they put mashed sweet potato on top of the soft and sweet baked Anpan sweet potato and baked it in the oven until it was golden brown (that's what a sweet potato is, right?). It's very dense and satisfying to eat, and you can enjoy the flavors of the two layers. Considering the effort involved, I think the price is reasonable. They also have other types of sweet potatoes and pies that are unique to this shop, so I'd like to try something different next time.
