Laforet Harajuku, located on the second floor, is a lively spot with a good mix of locals and foreign tourists. The tacos and burritos offer a variety of spice levels and fillings. While I was disappointed to see the fish option disappear, they now offer a vegetable choice. The portions are generous, so I opted for the light size. The light size burrito bowl set comes with potatoes, making it a satisfying meal. The eat-in area is bright and offers a view of Meiji-dori. The turnover is quick, so you shouldn't have to wait long for a seat.
This restaurant on the second floor of Laforet Harajuku serves authentic Mexican food, including burritos and tacos. I ordered the classic 'Burrito Chicken Regular Size (¥1,370)' this time. It's a wrap sandwich with a tortilla filled with plenty of ingredients (white rice, jack cheese, black beans, salsa) and sweet and spicy chicken. It was delicious, and I hadn't had one in a while. Even the regular size was filling because of the white rice and other ingredients. Since it's in Harajuku, there were a lot of foreigners, but I recommend this place to anyone who wants to try authentic Mexican food like burritos and tacos.
I ordered tacos and a burrito bowl. You can choose between crispy or pita-like shells for the tacos. For the fillings, you can choose from chicken, pork, beef, or vegetables for the main meat. The burrito bowl comes with cilantro, onions, pickles, and jalapeño sauce that you can add yourself, which I found very convenient. It's a stylish restaurant that fits perfectly in trendy Harajuku.
I always eat here when I go to Shibuya. I love Mexican food, so I'm happy to have a casual place to eat it. It would be great if there were more locations though.
During the peak of summer vacation, I was struggling to decide where to have lunch in Harajuku. I happened to look up and saw Laforet, so I decided to check it out. On the second floor, right as you go up, there's a Mexican taco place with a bright yellow sign. It was lunchtime on a Sunday, but I was lucky to get a seat right away. They have regular and light sizes, but the picture on the menu is of the light size. The regular size might be too much. Another good thing is that you can add as much cilantro, jalapeños, and onions as you want when you pick up your order. ♡
