It's about a 3-minute walk from Omotesando Station, but there's no sign, so it was hard to find at first. The full view of the restaurant was hidden until I opened the door, giving it a great hidden gem vibe. I went on a weekday evening, and it was bustling with a lot of people in their 20s and 30s, both men and women. There were many groups, maybe on dates or girls' nights out. The courtyard-style private rooms were memorable, completely open to the surroundings. It felt like being outdoors, but since it's indoors, it's a great place to stay cool even in this season. I recently visited Ebisudo in Ebisu, and they have many of the same signature dishes. The sashimi was truly delicious, as always. The uni carbonara in the photo was rich and tasted like pure uni. The value for money is unbeatable. I don't think there are many restaurants like this in Omotesando, so it's a valuable find. I'll definitely be back.
This is a great place run by Rak Corporation, where you're guaranteed to have a good time. If you're looking for a place in Aoyama with a good atmosphere and reasonable prices, this is it. It has a hidden gem vibe. The seating is comfortable, with tatami seating and deep solo sofas, making it a relaxing place to be. The staff are all very friendly. Every dish is delicious, and when I ordered the 5-piece sashimi platter, they gave me 7 pieces! They're very generous. I definitely want to go back.
I visited for dinner. It's about a 3-minute walk from Omotesando Station. There's no sign, so it's a bit hard to find, but it has a great hidden gem vibe! The atmosphere inside is lively, which I personally love. I can't believe a place like this exists in Omotesando! The food and drinks were delicious, of course, and the seasonal specials were also great! The porcini radish was especially amazing, it made me go crazy with delight, and my friend and I were both in awe. All the staff were smiling and friendly, which was very refreshing. The price was also great. This place is highly recommended, so definitely check it out!
This is an izakaya (Japanese pub) located in Aoyama. I was planning to go to Ebisudo in Ebisu, but it was fully booked, so I came here instead. It's quite hard to find the place. Also, the elevator is a 3-person type, which is not something you see often. The restaurant was quite crowded, which shows how popular it is. We started with a cheers with highballs! We began with a safe choice, a sashimi platter. The fresh shirasu (whitebait) and the swordfish were perfect that day. The fried corn made me feel like summer. We switched to the usual bamboo sake and ordered water eggplant sashimi, grilled clams, and grilled amberjack. We also had a stew and pasta for the finale, and were completely satisfied. It was great to be able to talk to the chef while watching him cook.
I had been curious about this restaurant, part of the Rakko Corporation chain, as I frequent other locations. Finally, I had the chance to visit while in Omotesando. Located on the third floor of a building with a hair salon on the first floor, it's a bit hard to find. There's likely no sign outside, so you might have to search a bit. Here's what I ordered: * Ebisu Draft Beer (¥550) I love Ebisu beer, so I was happy to see it on the menu. The appetizer was a salad with dried sardines and a delicious original dressing. * Lotus Root and Homemade Tuna Mille-Feuille (¥580) The homemade tuna is made by marinating salmon, mackerel, and other fish in oil and slowly cooking them in a low-temperature oven. The tuna mixed with mayonnaise and the crunchy lotus root were a perfect combination, making for a fantastic appetizer. * Four-Piece Sashimi Platter (Flounder, Horse Mackerel, Red Snapper, Bonito, Octopus, Cold Pacific Saury, Grilled Marinated Mackerel) (¥1960) This is Rakko Corporation's famous four-piece platter, but it actually comes with seven pieces! While waiting for the sashimi, they also gave me a complimentary serving of tuna belly. All the fish was fresh, and the octopus was especially impressive with its firm texture. * Sake (Gozenshu 9NINE Akiagari Junmai) (¥680) I ordered a slightly dry sake to go with the sashimi. It had a subtle aroma and a distinct rice flavor. * Toro Kaku Highball (¥590) This is a highball made with frozen, thick Kaku (a type of Japanese whiskey) and it somehow tastes better than a regular highball. * Beef Tendon and Potato Stew (¥880) This stew is packed with large pieces of beef tendon and soft, fluffy potatoes. The broth was flavorful, and the accompanying garlic toast was a perfect match. It was so good that I wished I had ordered more garlic toast. In addition to the standard menu, there's also a daily special menu. They also have a wide selection of sake and shochu. The staff was very friendly, and all the dishes were delicious. If you're ever in Omotesando, be sure to check it out!
