What kind of shop is it? Recommended usage scenarios: As a gift, for yourself Shop atmosphere: Lively, there is a queue when the "an-butter bread" is on sale Must-try menu: "An-butter bread" Meal volume: Normal What I had: * "An-butter bread" This shop is located inside Tokyo Station. The limited-quantity "an-butter bread" seems to be sold in several batches throughout the day. The bread is small, just the right size for a snack. The amount of butter is not excessive, so it doesn't feel heavy, but some people might find it insufficient. The red bean paste was also not too sweet and delicious. If you ask me if I would want to repeat this experience, I think the "an-butter bread" from other shops would be fine.

I was captivated by the delicious combination of 'anko' (sweet bean paste) and 'butter' on a hot plate and wanted to try it. However, every time I passed by, there was a huge line, so I gave up. But the other day, I happened to find no one waiting. I bought it without hesitation. The castella cake wrapped around it was fluffy, and the generous amount of bean paste was visually appealing. However, it didn't suit my taste. The butter was disastrously unappetizing. Was it to make the texture smooth? It contained fat spread and was slippery. The sweetness was excessive, leaving an unpleasant aftertaste that lingered in my mouth. For 2,000 yen, it was definitely overpriced. But perhaps it's an unavoidable price considering the exorbitant rent in Tokyo Station. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it to others or give it as a souvenir. The staff were perfectly fine, and the packaging was cute and atmospheric. Thank you for the meal today.

The shop is located in the Tokyo Gift Palette area, outside the Tokyo Station concourse, where souvenir shops line up. This is a shop known for its long lines for its an-butter (red bean paste and butter) bread. I bought their popular an-butter bread! It's a delicious anpan (sweet bean paste bun) with red bean paste, cream, and butter inside a chewy, fluffy bun. The sweetness of the red bean paste and the saltiness of the butter are addictive. Their financier is also popular. The shop is directly connected to Tokyo Station, making it a great place to pick up souvenirs! The cute bags are also a hit!

They had a temporary pop-up shop on the 2nd floor of Haneda Airport's Terminal 2. I couldn't resist the allure of the an-bata-pan (red bean and butter bread). The combination of red bean paste and butter is simply irresistible. They also have an-bata-financier and an-bata-rolls. Highly recommended!

I bought some bread from the limited-time pop-up shop at Hankyu Department Store Umeda. I tried the staff-recommended limited-edition an-butter bread, but I think I'd prefer it without the butter. The bread was fluffy and delicious, but I probably won't buy it again. There are so many great bakeries and confectioneries in Kansai.
