This is Charyo Itoen, located on the 4th floor of the HIAT in Haneda Airport's Terminal 3. It has a beautiful entrance, but inside it's a self-service eatery. You choose your seat and then purchase your food at the central kiosk, which resembles a traditional Japanese pavilion. The seating area is elegant, with chairs and red felt cushions. The menu seems to change depending on the time of day. When I went in the morning, they only had sweets and drinks. I saw flight attendants having lunch there, and it seems like you can bring your own food. I had the iced matcha latte for 600 yen. The matcha was so strong that it overpowered the milk. In late May, Haneda Airport's Terminal 3 has a beautiful display of dozens of hydrangeas. I wish I had tried the grilled rice ball tea-soup.

On July 18th, in the afternoon, it was incredibly hot and we had some time before our flight, so we decided to take a break here. I ordered a matcha soft serve (¥600) and my partner ordered a mixed soft serve (¥600). The soft serve was delicious, no complaints there, but the chair covers had stains in places and lacked cleanliness. It's a shame, as the overall Japanese atmosphere is lovely.

Located on the 4th floor of Haneda Airport's Terminal 3, Charyo Itoen is a pure Japanese-style cafe. You can enjoy traditional Japanese sweets and drinks, such as matcha soft cream and anmitsu. I think it's great that it's full of Japanese atmosphere, making it enjoyable for overseas travelers. It's often crowded, so it's best to secure a seat first and then order at the counter. Payment is accepted by various credit cards and electronic money, but QR code payment was not available.

The mixed soft serve ice cream (¥600) was delicious, with pure milk and tea flavors. However, the hojicha and matcha were mixed too much, and personally, I think it would be better if they were separate. The service and environment were decent.

I took a break with matcha anmitsu and green tea. This anmitsu is a bit pricey, but it was quite delicious. The tea I paired with it was also quite bitter, which was perfect for this anmitsu. It's the ultimate combination. This shop is extremely busy at times and completely empty at others. When I went in, it was completely empty, but a line formed shortly after. Maybe they don't have enough staff? There aren't many seats, so you need to secure a spot first. Foreigners were also enjoying it.
