World's Best Mille-Feuille I visited right after the store opened at 10 am, so there was no line and plenty of pastries to choose from. Their most recommended item is the Mille-Feuille Vanille, priced at 972 yen. It's a truly luxurious and elegant treat. 'Vanille' is French for 'vanilla,' and this pastry is of French origin. It's a masterpiece that won the Best Mille-Feuille award at a contest co-hosted by the French Pastry Federation in 2010, and it has been a beloved dessert ever since. The rich cream made with Tahitian vanilla and the caramelized, crispy puff pastry, infused with fermented butter, create a delightful combination of sweetness and texture. It's a consistently popular item for a reason. Despite its simplicity, the use of high-quality ingredients makes for a truly memorable taste. Today, I also enjoyed a financier.
A renowned mille-feuille shop located within Ginza Mitsukoshi! Their mille-feuille, hailed as the No. 1 in France, will skyrocket your happiness levels!!! 🔥 🍀Happiness Points🍀 🟢 When it comes to Frédéric Cassel, it's all about the mille-feuille! Their "Mille-Feuille Vanille" is a traditional mille-feuille featuring a delicate layering of crispy puff pastry and a special cream made with Tahitian vanilla. Freshly made, you'll experience the delightful crunch of the pastry, while letting it sit for a while allows the cream to meld, revealing a deeper flavor. 🟢 They also offer a variety of other exquisite treats, including the "Chou Vanille" - a cream puff filled with rich Tahitian vanilla cream and encased in a crispy cookie-like pastry, the "Opéra" - a harmonious blend of chocolate sweetness and coffee bitterness, and a colorful assortment of macarons. 🟢 Their mille-feuille was awarded "Best Mille-Feuille" in a 2010 competition hosted by the French Pastry Federation, making it a signature item at Frédéric Cassel. Mille-feuille enthusiasts, be sure to give it a try! 🍰Menu🍰 • Mille-Feuille Vanille ¥994 • Chou Vanille ¥594 • Opéra ¥810 ℹ️Store Informationℹ️ 🚃 1-minute walk from Ginza Station 💰 ¥1,000 - ¥2,000 📃 Tabelog Rating: 3.94 🍴 Google Reviews: Approximately 250 ☎️ 03-3535-1930 📍 〒104-8212 4-6-16 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo Ginza Mitsukoshi Basement 2nd Floor Instagram: @fredericcassel_japon 🕒 Mon - Sun, Holidays, Day Before Holidays, Day After Holidays 10:00 - 20:00 📅 Closed Follows Ginza Mitsukoshi's schedule
This cake shop is located inside the Mitsukoshi department store in Ginza. I bought their mille-feuille because I heard it was delicious. It was a larger mille-feuille than I expected. The pastry was quite hard, making it a bit challenging to eat neatly. I licked up a bit of the cream that had spilled out, and it was delicious. It was rich but had a refined sweetness, and while it seemed heavy, it wasn't. It tasted even better when eaten with the crispy pastry. It was a large size, but I devoured it in no time!
This is a renowned cake shop that consistently ranks among the top 100 dessert shops in Japan. Their exquisite cakes are truly exceptional. The cakes I ordered were beautiful and delicate, and each bite was a delight. 🍰 Cakes I ordered: - **Celine:** A delicate cake layered with golden plum mousse, fruity aromatic mousse, and biscuit. The appearance is stunning, and the refreshing flavor is exquisite. - **Frisson:** A cake with a lemon sauce base, layered with mixed berry compote, coconut-scented feuilletine, and dacquoise. It's rich yet refreshing. - **Florence:** A cake with a subtle yuzu acidity and bitterness, layered with two types of cheesecake and raspberry fruit. The rich cheesecake is perfectly balanced by the citrus and berry flavors, making it a truly exceptional experience. 👏
The flaky, thick pie crust was layered with a generous amount of custard. This is what a mille-feuille should be! The vanilla aroma was strong and the custard, with its perfect texture - not too smooth, not too firm - was divine. I'm usually a whipped cream person when it comes to cream puffs, but this custard was so good, I could have eaten it all day. I didn't know the proper way to eat it, so when I tried to cut it with a fork, the custard oozed out. I ended up just grabbing it with my hands and taking a big bite. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.
