The interior, fabrics, and overall aesthetic of Minä Perhonen blend harmoniously, creating a truly delightful space. I find myself wanting to soak in this atmosphere from time to time. It's perfect for a quiet, solitary escape. During the colder months, I appreciate the Minä Perhonen blankets provided in the shop. This time, my food was served on a plate with kintsugi (gold repair). When I asked the staff, they confirmed it was indeed kintsugi, and it was my first time seeing it in the shop. It was beautiful. Thank you for the delicious meal.
I arrived right when the restaurant opened, but it was already full. The atmosphere and service were fantastic! The food wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say it's the main draw of this place. I'd definitely go back to enjoy the overall ambiance. 👍🏻
A stylish cafe with a calm atmosphere. ☕️ * Pudding: ¥500 * Herbal Tea: ¥720 * Japanese Green Tea: ¥720 Located on the 5th floor of a commercial building, just a short walk from Omotesando Station. I visited around 1:30 PM on a Sunday and was able to get a table without much of a wait. There are also terrace seats, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed. They offer about six different kinds of sweets, as well as lunch options like curry. The pudding is a classic, soft style.
Visited in November 2022. The 5th floor of Spiral in Omotesando houses "Call," a select shop by fashion brand "mina perhonen" founded by Akira Minagawa, selling local ingredients, tableware, and clothing. The cafe attached to the shop opened in July 2016. With the concept of "cooking with care for someone," you can enjoy a graceful meal in a harmonious space where the interior, dishes, and drinks are all in sync. The cafe was already full when I arrived, so I put my name on the waiting list and browsed the shop's merchandise for a while. The interior is very clean and minimalist, but there are subtle touches of the "mina perhonen" aesthetic throughout. The terrace seating is one of the highlights, but on this day, it seemed to be occupied by visitors for an inspection or something, so it wasn't available. Lunch appears to be a set menu with a choice of five meals and a drink. There's also a dessert set with a drink. After 2:30 PM, they offer plates of meat, fish, and vegetables, as well as a la carte dishes. The cafe also serves natural wine, and as their tagline suggests - "everyday, balanced, unpretentious, beautifully plated, satisfying dishes, wine, coffee" - the combination of sweets and coffee, or dishes and wine, seems to be recommended. ● Pudding At first glance, the pudding appears to be firm. But in reality, it's a smooth, jiggly texture. The pudding itself isn't overly rich from the eggs, and it has a slightly sweet flavor, but the balance of sweetness and richness is achieved by combining it with unsweetened whipped cream and the bitterness of caramel. ● Baked Cheesecake This cheesecake has a refreshing tang. The surface is slightly charred, adding a touch of bitterness for a more mature flavor. When eaten with unsweetened whipped cream, it becomes a rich and mellow flavor. It's said to pair well with wine, so I'd like to try that sometime. ● House and Garden Ginger Ale This ginger ale has a subtle sweetness and spiciness. It's lightly carbonated, making it easy to drink even for those who don't like strong carbonation. The natural ingredients are evident in the flavor, and it feels gentler on the body than artificial ginger ale. The cafe has been packed since opening, so it's clear that the afternoon tea time is also bustling. The cafe is open until late, so it likely sees a lot of customers throughout the day. It's not located in a building with many commercial tenants, so it's unlikely that people just happen to drop by. It's probably mostly frequented by people who have heard about it through word-of-mouth or social media. The dishes and drinks served on "mina perhonen" tableware are very charming. The outdoor seating would be lovely in warmer weather. If you're interested, be sure to give it a try.
## Home and Garden **Location:** 3-minute walk from Omotesando Station B1 Exit **Budget:** ¥2,000 per person **Hours:** 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM **Reservations:** Not available **Menu I ordered:** * Home and Garden Curry with Wagyu Beef: ¥1,540 * Panino Caldo: ¥1,540 * Pudding: ¥500 * Rare Cheesecake: ¥830 I visited around 11:30 AM on a weekday and was seated immediately without a wait. It was a bit before lunchtime, so there were plenty of seats available. It started getting crowded around 12:30 PM! The terrace seats would be lovely this time of year. **Food:** * **Home and Garden Curry:** This dish contains shellfish, so be careful if you have allergies! The curry is smooth, sweet, and has a hint of spice. It's not too spicy, so even those who don't like spicy food can enjoy it! You can choose between wagyu beef or vegetables, and both are packed with ingredients. The curry is more of a thick, rich type, with the ingredients well-cooked into the sauce. The rice is brown rice, which is healthy. 🍚 * **Panino Caldo:** This hot sandwich is filled with homemade ham, basil, tomato, and cheese. The bread is crispy and delicious. It might be a bit small on its own, though. 🤔 * **Finally, the popular pudding:**🍮 It's a slightly firm pudding with a strong egg flavor. The caramel sauce isn't too bitter, making it easy to eat! The pudding itself is also not too sweet, which I liked! Both dishes are not very large, so even women can eat dessert and be about 80% full. For men, it's more of a cafe experience. The dishes are cute, and the ceiling is stylish! It's a place I want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.
