This was my first visit. I saw reviews mentioning long lines before opening, so I arrived 15 minutes early. To be precise, I arrived at the entrance space on the first floor of the Tokyu Plaza building. 😅 Today was a holiday, and the building was packed with foreign tourists. I was overwhelmed by the energy and determination of the people aiming for the 11:00 AM opening. I finally entered the building after lining up and rushed to the B2 floor. 💦 Then, imagine my surprise! When I arrived at the store at 11:08 AM, there were only three other groups of customers. (Or should I say, three groups had already arrived?) And this B2 floor! It's connected directly to the entrance of the Tokyu Plaza building's B2 floor through a long underground passage that runs across Ginza Street. (> <) I rushed for nothing! 😅 From the underground passage, aim for the 【C2】【C3】 exits. It was my first time in Ginza in a while, and I was a bit out of practice. I was a little tired from the morning. (;´∩`;) The cityscape has changed a lot, and many places have been transformed. (It's been four years since the pandemic, so I guess this is to be expected...) The underground passage area, in particular, has become very clean and convenient. I apologize for going off on a tangent. m(_ _)m 『SALON GINZA SABOU (Salon Ginza Sabou) Tokyu Plaza Ginza』 The handsome male staff member explained the ordering process and introduced the menu. The capacity is seven two-seater tables, one four-seater table, and six seats at a long table with alternating seating. The back of the store has sofas, and the tables can be rearranged to accommodate larger groups. I think the total capacity is 25 seats. I had high expectations for the rice 🍚, which is their specialty, and it was as delicious as everyone said. 👍 The 'small side dishes' you can choose from are smaller than I expected and very cute. 💕 Maybe 'petite side dishes' would be a more fitting name. (^o^;) The dishes are all healthy and visually appealing. Thank you for the delicious meal today!
I lined up before opening during Golden Week 2024 and was able to enjoy my meal starting at 11 am. I'm so satisfied to have found such a healthy and affordable meal in Ginza. The germinated brown rice had a rich flavor and was absolutely delicious. The miso soup was also very flavorful, with a gentle taste, and the fact that you could get refills was fantastic. I will definitely visit this restaurant again for brunch in Ginza. The set drink, tea (hot), was also refillable and I tried all the varieties. After having five cups, the staff told me, "This will be your last cup." The matcha dessert also had various fillings, making the meal enjoyable until the very end. Thank you for the delicious meal!
The front of the shop sells clothes, and if you go to the back, there are restaurants! When you enter the store, the aroma of rice wafts through the air, a truly delightful scent. ☺️ I was amazed by how delicious the grilled mackerel with salt was. It was so good! The rice is also the legendary Koshihikari variety, "Yuki Hotaka," which is truly healthy. I was so happy to be able to eat such delicious food. 😌 Miso soup and rice (white rice) are free refills. I definitely want to eat here again! Menu: Ginza Chabo's Set Meal Grilled Mackerel with Salt Set + Domestic Mushroom Dashi-Bitahi + Yuzu Special Kaeishi Soy Sauce Style + Homemade Kinpira (Changed to Sprouted Brown Rice and Super Rice)
I visited this restaurant for lunch for the second time in about a year. I ordered the fried chicken set for lunch. The fried chicken was quite large and the crispy coating was very delicious. It was also very filling. It was fun to choose from three different side dishes, and they all tasted delicious, including seasonal dishes like bamboo shoot simmered in soy sauce. Since I had some time, I ordered the tea room mini parfait and hot tea for dessert. This was my first time trying the tea room parfait, and it had various ingredients like chestnuts and mochi balls inside. It was fun to break the chocolate on top and enjoy the different textures. The size was just right for after the meal. The hot tea was served in small cups and you could choose from green tea, roasted green tea, oolong tea, and black tea. You could refill or switch to a different tea, which was very nice. However, there was no call button or chime on the table, so it was difficult to get the attention of the busy staff. It would have been easier if there was a self-service area for tea.
A Japanese cafe located on the B2 floor of Tokyu Plaza Ginza, offering delicious set meals with a focus on rice and parfaits served in masu (traditional Japanese wooden boxes). The rice is served in a rice bowl and is cooked in a clay pot using the rare "Yuki Hotaka" variety of Koshihikari rice. You can choose between white rice and brown rice. Rice and miso soup refills are available. Bento boxes are sold at the entrance of the restaurant. They offer a variety of options, including grilled salmon and chicken karaage bento boxes, all packed in bamboo-woven boxes. I visited around 1 pm on a weekday. There was a 5-person wait, but I was seated within 10 minutes. For lunch, you choose a main dish from the set menu, then select three side dishes. You also choose between white rice or sprouted brown rice with super barley. I chose the Shingen Chicken Karaage set. The chicken was seasoned with a strong flavor and fried to a crispy texture, with a perfect amount of sweet and sour sauce. The side dishes, including kinpira (stir-fried vegetables), eggplant with ginger marinade, and yuba (tofu skin) with simmered vegetables, were all well-seasoned. It was clear that each dish was carefully prepared to complement the rice. The rice bowl contained two servings of rice. My daughter, who usually doesn't eat much rice, finished it all, saying it was delicious. It's truly a blessing to be able to enjoy such high-quality set meals in Ginza. I bought a grilled salmon bento box as a souvenir. The salmon was rich and flavorful, and it was still delicious even cold. ♡ **Order:** ○ Shingen Chicken Karaage Set (Sweet and Sour) x 2 [Side Dishes: Homemade Kinpira, Yuba with Special Kaede Soy Sauce, Eggplant with Ginger Marinade] [Side Dishes: Homemade Kinpira, Taro Root Simmered, Pickles] 2024/01
