A traditional bakery in the old town. They have a wide variety of breads, all at reasonable prices! From sandwiches to yakisoba bread, bagels, and croissants, everything was delicious! They also have an eat-in area, so I enjoyed a drink and a meal. It was bustling with office workers during lunchtime, which is a testament to its popularity. It's a place where time seems to flow slowly.
◎3rd Visit: September 2024 • Added photos (5) • "Nakayoshi Kombi" (Sweet Bean and Peanut) @ ¥180 (incl. tax) • Cream Bun @ ¥120 (incl. tax) • Iced Coffee @ ¥300 (incl. tax) ◎2nd Visit: September 2024 Visiting on a weekday around 10:00 a.m., the shop was sparsely populated. I picked out some bread for the eat-in area and smoothly paid at the register. The variety of bread was truly impressive, making it hard to choose. For eat-in, a drink is required. After paying, I carried my bread on a tray to my seat. The staff kindly brought my drink to the table. I ordered three items: a Chikuwa Dog, a Cream Bun, and a Hot Coffee, totaling ¥525 (incl. tax). It's been about a year and a half since my last visit, and the prices seem unchanged. I'm truly grateful for that. The Chikuwa Dog was excellent. The salty flavor of the chikuwa (fish cake) paired perfectly with the light tanginess of the tuna mayo. The simple, slightly crumbly bread, reminiscent of old-fashioned bread, evoked a sense of nostalgia. The Cream Bun was equally delightful. The gently sweet cream, reportedly homemade, harmonized beautifully with the bread. The bitterness of the hot coffee provided a comforting touch. Established in 1921 (Taishō 10), this bakery boasts over a century of history. It's truly wonderful. I'll definitely visit again when I have the chance! a) Situation: • Visited on a weekday around 10:09 a.m. • Paid at the register and sat at a table by the window. b) Service: • Professional and efficient. c) Order: • Chikuwa Dog @ ¥165 (incl. tax) • Cream Bun @ ¥120 (incl. tax) • Hot Coffee @ ¥240 (incl. tax) ◎1st Visit: March 2023
Located just a 2-minute walk from Ningyocho Station and a 3-minute walk from Suitengu-mae Station. ...Recommended Points... ✽Retro / Bakery / Eat-in available ✽With friends / Solo ...Menu... ✽Iced Cocoa 360 yen I stopped by because I had a little time before lunch. It's a bakery with an eat-in space in the back. It's an old-fashioned bakery with a great atmosphere. The eat-in space is also a relaxing space, and it seems perfect for enjoying bread and drinks purchased during lunchtime. The drinks are incredibly affordable at 360 yen. This time, I only ordered a drink because it was before lunch, but I'll buy some bread next time! If you're curious about old-fashioned bakeries, be sure to check it out!
【April 2024 Visit】 I had a day off during the Golden Week holiday, so I went to Ningyocho and enjoyed a cheeseburger at "Brothers Ningyocho Honten", which had just opened. After that, I stopped by here. You can eat inside, but I wanted to go to another place in the Nihonbashi area, so I took it out that day. The name "Sandwich Parlor" itself has a kind of Showa-era charm, and when you enter the store, the prices are also retro. There were a lot of breads for under 100 yen, which is rare these days. Looking around the store, I took home: - Chikuwa Dog 165 yen - Tofu Menchi 175 yen - Cream Bun 120 yen I even got a paper bag, and the amazing cost performance was under 500 yen. I warmed them up in a toaster at home. The "Chikuwa Dog", which I was curious about, had a slightly tuna-like flavor from the chikuwa, which was not at all strange. Even though chikuwa is originally made from fish, the idea of putting it in a bun is brilliant. The "Tofu Menchi" is a bread that I'm not sure if it's healthy or unhealthy, but it was more like a menchi katsu than I expected. I think the tofu made it a little lighter. The "Cream Bun" had a sweet cream like the ones from the old days. It was a suitable bread for a finishing touch. It had a comforting taste and was very satisfying. I think I would go there regularly if it were nearby. I felt the strength of the Suitengu Shrine area. Thank you for the meal.
Visited in March 2023. Please note that the current menu and prices may differ due to the time difference in posting. I stumbled upon this bakery while taking an evening stroll near my hotel and knew I had to come back in the morning. Stepping inside, it was just like the old-fashioned bakery I imagined from the outside! The prices were incredibly affordable, and the selection was even more extensive than I expected, making it hard to choose! I ended up buying a simple croissant, a cream bun, a melon pan, a bagel, a hot dog, and even a burger! I bought too much, knowing I'd be enjoying some on the bullet train back home. I also picked up some homemade peanut cream for souvenirs and myself. I couldn't resist eating a cornet filled with this cream while walking. If I ever stay in Nihonbashi again, I'll definitely come back and try their eat-in option. It was such a charming place!
