Located near Roppongi, this bakery is inside Midtown. I visited for breakfast. The atmosphere is very nice, but the taste is average. The avocado and salmon tartine is 1750 yen, but on weekends, drinks are not included, which I thought was expensive. 1750 yen feels like you're paying for the location. For that price, you could get a set meal with salad and drinks elsewhere. The smoked salmon also doesn't come with a drink. The cheapest option, the Le Pain Quotidien Breakfast for 1180 yen, includes a drink, but it's either orange juice or apple juice, plus coffee or tea, which is strange. There's no salad. It's a shame because the atmosphere is great.

A charming bakery restaurant, "Le Pain Quotidien," located in Tokyo Midtown, Roppongi. 🍴 Originating from Belgium, this bakery restaurant focuses on organic ingredients. It's the flagship store in Japan for this bakery restaurant chain, with over 250 locations worldwide. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and cafe fare featuring bread made with organic wheat. The interior boasts a refined, casual atmosphere with Belgian antique furniture! There's also an open terrace, perfect for enjoying meals and coffee on sunny days or when the weather is pleasant. This time, I visited for lunch! They offer a variety of healthy menu items featuring their signature bread. I ordered the "Tartine Plate" for lunch. ✴︎ Open Croque Monsieur ✴︎ Avocado Toast ✴︎ Salad ✴︎ Soup A healthy set with avocado, salad, and more! The croque monsieur is topped with ham and cheese, while the avocado toast is generously spread with avocado paste. They also take pride in their coffee β˜•οΈ They use organic coffee beans and you can choose to substitute milk with soy milk, almond milk, or oat milk. I also ordered an iced cafe latte with oat milk. The weather was beautiful, so I enjoyed a leisurely lunch on the terrace ☺️ Open from 7:30 AM This is a great place for breakfast, lunch, or a cafe stop πŸ‘Œ You can dine in or take out.

A cafe in Roppongi. It's located a 2-3 minute walk from Roppongi Station, on the 1st floor of Tokyo Midtown Roppongi. There are also terrace seats. I went there around 6 pm on a holiday and it was about 60-70% full. Le Pain Quotidien is known for its incredibly delicious croissants, but I only had coffee since I had dinner plans nearby. I was planning a trip abroad soon (for our honeymoon) and used this time to read guidebooks to decide where to go. Here's what I had: βœ”οΈŽ Organic Lemon & Lime Soda (Β₯780) They gave me a bottle and a glass, and I poured it myself. The bottle label says "Phoenix." It's an organic carbonated drink with a refreshing lemon and lime flavor and a distinctive bitter aroma. I noticed a diverse range of customers, including couples, friends, and mothers with children. It seemed like a popular spot for various occasions. I'll definitely come back to try their bread next time. Thanks for the meal.

The Tokyo Midtown Clinic Human Dock meal voucher can be used here. I went there alone on a weekday around 11:15 am, and it was understandably empty. For dine-in, you can choose between indoor and terrace seating. Takeout is also available. I had the Belgian chocolate mousse, almond croissant, and cafe au lait for Β₯1,649. Everything was delicious! The Belgian chocolate mousse was a dream come true for chocolate lovers, and the croissant had a wonderfully crispy exterior. However, as someone who feels their stomach getting weaker these days, half the portion would have been perfect. It was the kind of place I wanted to share with someone. One thing that puzzled me was the coffee cups not having handles. They were also quite wide, making it feel like I was drinking matcha. Is that a Belgian standard? A trendy thing? I'll just quietly say I wished it had a handle.

I went to the summer cool sweets event at Midtown and had shaved ice. It was a very large shaved ice and I couldn't finish it all, but it was delicious. It's a popular shop, so there's a constant stream of people coming and going, which makes it a bit chaotic. It's probably good for having drinks and socializing, but it might be too lively for a relaxing afternoon.
