I went around 3 PM on a Saturday and there was a line of about 12 people. I didn't count exactly, but it felt like I waited for almost an hour. The staff was very friendly. Personally, I didn't need the berries inside the strawberry dessert, but it was delicious nonetheless. I was worried if I could finish one by myself, but it was gone in a flash. The Mont Blanc had a strong chestnut flavor, which I think would be perfect for chestnut lovers. If you prefer something sweeter with lots of sugar, this might not be your cup of tea. It's definitely worth the wait! However, the seating is limited and it takes time to prepare the desserts, so the turnover rate isn't very high. It's best to go early or be prepared to wait patiently.
Today's sweet treat: a #Fuwari #FreshlySqueezedMontBlanc with Japanese Chestnut and Flower Tea Set. It's like a shop specializing in Japanese chestnut Mont Blanc and shaved ice. The flower tea set is visually striking. It's interesting that there's no meringue, and the sweet potato chips add a nice crunchy element. The taste is average. It's a small shop with only five tables for two. #SweetTooth #Sweets #Dessert #Sweet #Dessert #SweetsClub #Snack #TokyoFoodie #TokyoSweets #NihonbashiSweets #NingyochoSweets #Cafe #CafeHopping #TokyoCafe #NihonbashiCafe #SweetShop #NingyochoCafe #MontBlanc #JapaneseChestnutMontBlanc #FlowerTea #GongFuCha
A must-try for chestnut lovers, this Mont Blanc shaved ice is a delight. The thin, fluffy Mont Blanc, drizzled with black honey, hides a layer of crunchy ice. Inside the ice, you'll find sweet red bean paste. The sweetness is subtle and just right, and with a sip of roasted green tea in between bites, you can forget the scorching heat and feel a cool breeze.
**Wa-guri Mont Blanc & Kakigori Fuwari / Ningyocho** Fuwari, a delightful spot in Ningyocho serving delicious kakigori (shaved ice). ✓ Items Ordered - Strawberry Kakigori ¥1,300 - 3-Kind Mandarin Kakigori ¥1,500 You can enjoy authentic strawberry kakigori all year round. It was delicious as always. The accompanying hojicha tea makes this a great value for the price. I ended up visiting twice in a row! Thank you for the meal!
March 2024 (Weekday, 2:40 PM, no wait) Strawberry shaved ice ¥1300 This is a shop that specializes in Mont Blanc and shaved ice. I was tempted by the shaved ice topped with Mont Blanc, but I'm not really a big fan of chestnuts... (laughs) To truly gauge the shop's skill, I decided to go with the basic strawberry milk shaved ice. The red and white split visual is beautiful! The shaved ice has a nice, crunchy texture. Inside, there's custard, mixed berries, and cornflakes. It's served on a plate, so there's no worry about it collapsing and it's easy to eat. They have a lot of simple, unpretentious menu items, and the prices are reasonable, which is nice. I'd like to try the Mont Blanc shaved ice next.
