I visited on a Sunday afternoon. There was no waiting board, so we lined up outside. I ordered the chocolate pancakes with whipped cream topping. The batter itself was delicious, even without anything on it. The chocolate was slightly bitter and not too sweet, which was great. The maple butter was also good, but I felt the whipped cream was a perfect match. The chocolate chunks in the batter melted gradually with the heat. I definitely want to try the seasonal menu and their signature blueberry pancakes. They also have savory options like sandwiches, so I think it's a place that can be enjoyed even by those who don't like sweets.
I had some errands to run in Omotesando that day, so I stopped by this cafe for lunch. I'd heard that their pancakes were delicious, and I'd been wanting to try them for a while. The cafe's red exterior caught my eye as I approached. Once inside, a staff member showed me to my seat. They had a variety of menu items besides just pancakes. Since I was there, I decided to order the classic pancakes. The strawberry pancakes were tempting, but I opted for the blueberry pancakes, their signature dish. The pancakes arrived shortly after I ordered, and they looked absolutely delicious! I had a preconceived notion that they would be heavy and sweet, but they were surprisingly light. The pancakes themselves were expertly layered in three tiers, and they were a delight to cut and eat with a fork. They were even better than I expected! For a pancake this rich and flavorful, 1400 yen is a steal!
A restaurant that has received high praise in New York City. I visited this place specifically for their pancakes, which are said to be the best in New York Magazine. The weather wasn't great that day, with rain threatening, but we waited about 20 minutes to get in. The restaurant was filled with a mix of people, from solo diners to families. Here's what we ordered: ☑ Pancakes with Maple Butter (Blueberry) - ¥1,540 ☑ Topping Vanilla Ice Cream - ¥220 ☑ Light Matcha Cooler - ¥330 They had a special 11th Anniversary Summer Set drink, which included a matcha drink for ¥330. It wasn't sweet, so it's definitely a matter of taste. The pancakes were three in number, neither too thick nor too thin. They had a firm texture, not fluffy, and were quite filling. The batter itself was delicious, and the maple butter complemented the pancakes perfectly! Blueberries were also sandwiched between the pancakes. It was a delicious meal.
This is a great place to go when you're hungry in the morning, as they open at 9 am. There are two floors, so you can sit with a group of people. They have seasonal pancakes, and while there's a morning menu, I ordered from the regular menu. I had the Classic Eggs Benedict (¥1,700) and the Plain Pancakes (¥1,200). Both were quite firm in texture, which may be their intended consistency.
Revisited in September 2024. The staff has grown, and the service has become even more attentive. The quality of the food seemed to have changed slightly, but considering the location, portion sizes, and price, it's understandable. The French fries and French toast were delicious! ✨ Even after the pancake craze has passed, this place is always packed. Reservations are limited in time 🕑. The food is so good and the portions are generous, but I always end up leaving some behind. I wish they had a half-size option…🥞🥂🍔 The space is a typical American cafe, but the service is incredibly polite, both over the phone and in person. It's always a pleasant experience. Many people dine alone.
