A Japanese confectionery shop located near the bridge over the Sendai Hori-kawa Canal in Kiyosumi Shirakawa ✨ I stopped by on a whim after strolling through Kiyosumi Garden. ^^ There were so many delicious-looking dango and manju that I was torn... This time I bought mitarashi dango 🍡 The dango were chewy and very soft, and they were delicious 💕 It's right next to Kiyosumi Garden, so it would be a wonderful experience to buy dango here, take a break in the garden, and enjoy the beautiful scenery ✨

The mitarashi dango were ¥150, but they were generously coated in sauce! They were large and satisfying, and very delicious. They were dipped in the sauce after I ordered them, so they were still warm when I got home - it made me so happy! ✨ The daifuku had a subtle sweetness, and my husband was delighted to find it tastier than any daifuku he'd had before.

The Iseya in the Monzen-nakacho shopping district has mochi that's cold and hard because it's displayed in a showcase, but here you can enjoy warm, chewy grilled mochi! (With extra sauce) They often sell out after 5 pm, but luckily there were still plenty of grilled mochi left when I went, as you can see in the photo! They accept cash, LINE Pay, PayPay, and Rakuten Pay.

I tried a few items, including dango and daifuku, and they were all decent and tasty. The freshly made mitarashi dango is particularly good, with soft mochi dipped in the sauce right before serving. I highly recommend eating it immediately.

On January 8th, 2024, the area in front of the Hachiman Shrine was very crowded, but this place was not. It's perfect for takeout. The grilled dumplings were warm, with a generous amount of sweet and savory sauce. The fragrant charring blended perfectly with the sauce, making the large dumplings slide down smoothly. At 150 yen per skewer, it's a reasonable price. They also had savory options besides sweets, so I'll try them next time.
