I made a reservation and visited on the day before a holiday. The place was fully booked with reservations, and there were frequent inquiries about availability by phone, so I think reservations are essential on weekdays before holidays and weekends. The interior has a warm atmosphere with about 8 counter seats and 5 table seats. It's a small shop, but I think it's a good place to go with anyone. There are also about 30 kinds of wines by the glass, including orange wine and rosé. I felt the chef's unwavering professionalism and dedication in this restaurant. The plating was very meticulous and beautiful, and everything was delicious. The staff were also smiling and friendly, and I felt that they were well-trained. There is one chef and two staff members in the dining room, so if orders overlap, it will inevitably take time to serve. I wouldn't recommend it to people who absolutely hate waiting, but even when orders pile up, they provide the best possible products without compromise, so there's no complaint, and you can enjoy delicious wine in the meantime. Looking at the menu alone, the prices of the dishes may seem a bit high, but they are more than satisfying in terms of volume for the price. I want to go back again. Thank you for the delicious meal!
An Italian restaurant in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, Tokyo. "Kugoro Wine Table" This Italian restaurant is run by a winery in Tokyo. It's a very popular and busy place. I was happy to see that the fish and chips came with malt vinegar. The appetizers were also subtly delicious and enjoyable. Thank you for the delicious meal 😋
I enjoyed a solo lunch at Kugo Wine Table, located near the Kiyosumi Shirakawa intersection, just a short walk from Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station on the Tokyo Metro, around 1:40 PM on a Sunday. I had a pleasant memory of visiting this place for dinner about 7 years ago and finding it delicious. As expected of a popular spot, it was almost full even at this time, and customers kept coming in after me. The interior was bright and clean. There were five counter seats in front of the kitchen, two more counter seats near the entrance, four four-seater tables, and one two-seater table in the back. The background music was Japanese pop songs like those played during the Kohaku Uta Gassen (New Year's Eve Song Festival). The lunch menu, available only on weekends and holidays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, offered three choices, and I was disappointed to find the hamburger sold out! All options come with a mini Caesar salad and soup. - Pizza Lunch: Pepperoni Pizza, ¥1,155 (tax included) - Makanaikima Curry Lunch: ¥1,265 (tax included) - Homemade Hamburger Lunch: ¥1,386 (tax included) I opted for the Makanaikima Curry Lunch. It's a slightly spicy curry made with stir-fried minced meat, onions, and carrots. The lunch drink service included the following: - Draft Beer: Sapporo Black Label, ¥440 (tax included) - House Wine: Red (Cabernet Sauvignon) or White (Chardonnay), ¥440 (tax included) - Coffee (Hot or Iced), ¥220 (tax included) - Orange Juice, ¥220 (tax included) - Oolong Tea, ¥220 (tax included) While I was tempted to have a drink, I had to resist since I was going to ride my bicycle later and my gym trainer recently advised me to avoid coffee and similar beverages. I was promptly served chilled water, wet paper napkins, a small plate, and chopsticks. The mini Caesar salad and soup arrived relatively quickly. The mini Caesar salad featured onions, lettuce, mizuna, and cherry tomatoes, generously topped with grated Parmesan cheese. It was fresh and delicious. The soup was a piping hot egg soup with a rich, flavorful broth. The keyma curry arrived next, beautifully presented. The curry itself was indeed slightly spicy, packed with minced meat and other ingredients, and incredibly tasty. Furthermore, it was topped with finely chopped cucumber, paprika, carrots, and onions pickled in vinegar, as well as grated Parmesan cheese, showcasing its high quality and deliciousness. I was thoroughly satisfied. Payment was convenient, accepting electronic money like PayPay, credit cards, and transportation IC cards, making cash unnecessary. Kugo Wine Table is highly recommended for its beautiful interior and delicious lunch options like the keyma curry!
I went for lunch on Sunday. A single man was running the kitchen, but there were also a few items on the menu besides lunch. However, the operation was poor, and the timing of the food service was questionable. I was told the pasta would take a while, but it was much longer than I expected. The taste was also just average... I was disappointed because I had high expectations.
This is a second review. Due to the lack of COVID restrictions, both restaurants were fully booked, so I visited for an early lunch. It was still relatively empty during lunchtime. I ordered a cold pasta dish, which wasn't on the lunch menu, and it was a generous portion, about 1.5 servings. I shared it with the ratatouille and chose a lunch beer and wine. I was tempted by the appetizer platter, but I'll save that for next time. This is my previous review. Fukagawa Winery? It's a seemingly unbelievable but true story - wine in Tokyo! I chose this restaurant for lunch after visiting the cemetery during the Obon festival. The restaurant has a wine barrel at the entrance and a casual, bar-like atmosphere, perfect for a quick drink. There were also customers picking up takeout orders. On weekends and holidays, they offer lunch from 12 pm to 4 pm. The menu features pasta, curry, andハンバーグ (hamburger steak), and they offer wine, beer, and coffee at reasonable prices. I was particularly interested in their orange wine, made with white grape skins, and decided to try it. It was very fruity and easy to drink. It was my first time trying it, and I almost ordered a second glass. The mentaiko pasta andハンバーグ were both home-style and comforting. Each dish was carefully prepared.
