We visited for lunch to celebrate my husband's recovery. The moment we stepped into the restaurant, the aroma of truffles filled the air, instantly lifting our spirits. Every dish was absolutely delicious, and the paired wines were excellent. If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be to offer a champagne option alongside the sparkling wine, and perhaps inquire about our red or white preference. However, I understand that the best pairing was chosen based on the truffle's flavor profile. The view of greenery through the window allowed us to relax and savor the exquisite cuisine.
A truffle specialty store where you can casually enjoy truffle dishes made with French truffles, just like the Paris flagship store. The Paris store is located in Le Bon Marché, one of the oldest department stores in Paris. At the Tokyo Midtown flagship store, they offer dishes made with high-quality French truffles, as organic as possible, just like the Paris flagship store, as well as truffle salt and truffle oil. The terrace seats are the largest in Tokyo Midtown. They offer a lineup of fresh truffles, each with a different flavor and characteristic that can only be enjoyed during its season, such as black truffle, white truffle, summer truffle, brumal truffle, and Burgundy truffle. They also offer dishes that are carefully selected to complement the truffles and wines. Everything was so fragrant and delicious.
I visited for lunch. The atmosphere was perfect for a leisurely meal, even if you're dining alone. The bread was chewy and delicious. I had the fresh truffle and cheese risotto, which was rich and flavorful. The waiter was impeccably dressed and had a sharp demeanor, but his smile made the restaurant feel welcoming. I appreciated that they offered herbal tea as an option after the meal, in addition to coffee or tea.
We dined on the terrace, which faces a cherry blossom avenue and offers an incredibly spacious and open atmosphere that feels far from the city center. Every dish featured truffles, showcasing their commitment to this ingredient. We ordered the ¥6,500 course, but found the portions a bit small, so we added an extra dish. The staff was young, and while they couldn't offer much advice on wine selection, they were very attentive and courteous.
I heard that there was a surplus of truffles due to the pandemic, so I decided to visit for lunch while I had the chance! Since I was concerned about the distance between tables during the pandemic, I requested a private room. I don't think there was a separate charge for the private room. I was able to enjoy a beautiful view from the private room. If the weather is nice, I recommend the terrace seating. The food was delicious. I was curious about the truffle salt, so I bought some to take home. My family loved it when I sprinkled it on potatoes at home. It uses coarse French salt, and the size of the grains really enhances the flavor. The service was fine, but for the price point, I think it could be a bit more attentive. If you have any requests, I recommend being clear and specific when communicating them.
