When you're craving matcha pudding in Shibuya, this is the place to be! They use a generous amount of Kyoto Uji matcha, allowing you to fully savor the matcha flavor. Despite its rich appearance, the pudding melts in your mouth with a surprising smoothness. I love the look of it too, and I find myself coming back again and again. A must-try for matcha lovers! The interior is spacious, with a retro wooden feel to the chairs and tables, creating a calming atmosphere. They also have Wi-Fi, making it easy to linger. Perfect for when you need some alone time or just want to relax!
I visited this place specifically for their pudding. Since it's a one-drink minimum, I also ordered their original blend herbal tea. I was expecting a sweet pudding, but it was actually quite mild, and the fresh cream on top was similarly understated. It had a nice coffee flavor and was delicious. However, the portion size was quite large. I was satisfied after eating about two-thirds of it. We ordered the same pudding with a group of friends, and we noticed that the amount of caramel sauce varied significantly between each serving (one was extremely runny). On the other hand, the herbal tea was a bit small. The flavor was nothing special, neither good nor bad... I think it would be better with a bit more hot water. The atmosphere of the shop is nice. It's open late (last order at 10:00 PM), which is convenient for dropping in when you feel like it.
I didn't like that the lids on the bottled drinks were already opened. Even if it's meant to make it easier for customers to pour into a glass, it makes you think it's unopened. If that's the case, they should remove the lids and not bring them out in the first place. The pudding was delicious. My friend's cheesecake had different blueberries than in the picture. Cost-cutting?
I was looking for a place to have dessert after my meal and found this cafe with its delicious-looking pudding. It was a hit! Suz Cafe is located on the third floor of a narrow building on Koen-dori Street. When the elevator door opens on the third floor, you'll see a wall. If you turn left, you'll be greeted by a spacious interior with large windows, creating a very open and airy atmosphere. It seems like the window seats are popular with reservations. If you want a window seat, be sure to make a reservation. However, even though it's a window seat, the view isn't that great because it's right next to a building. But it's bright, so you can take some "Instagrammable" photos. The pudding was as expected, just like in the pictures, a firm, dense pudding with a decent flavor. I ordered a drink with the dessert, which came to a little over 1,000 yen. It seems like there's a 90-minute time limit during busy hours, but it wasn't that crowded when I went, so I could relax without feeling rushed. The restroom was also cute, which is a plus. The plate lunches looked delicious too, so it might be a good option for lunch.
I went there on a weekend. I was planning to go to and People, which is in the same building, but it was packed and I gave up. In the end, there were more people waiting in line at Suz Cafe, but I felt like the service was quick. I was a little bothered by the fact that the tables and chairs weren't uniform (they were stylish) and the table was an awkward height to eat at. So, it might not be suitable for people who want to work at a cafe. The atmosphere is relaxing, so I recommend it for girls' nights out or dates! The food was very delicious, but the pudding was so rich that I couldn't finish it by myself. Also, as is common with cafes like this, there's a one-drink minimum.
