Located a 5-minute walk from the north exit of Kinshicho Station, this popular restaurant is often fully booked. It's highly recommended to make a reservation in advance. However, on this particular day (Sunday around 7:30 PM), I noticed an empty table while passing by the restaurant and was able to get a seat! It might have been due to the typhoon forecast that day. Even so, both the tatami seating and counter were full. **What I ordered:** * Squid Tentacle Butter ¥600 * Snow Viewing Sauce Okonomiyaki ¥1,400 * Guava Juice ¥450 The squid tentacle butter and okonomiyaki were both brought to the table already cooked. I personally prefer this style. The octopus in the squid tentacle butter was a baby octopus (I think) and the inclusion of scallions was also a big hit for me.🐙 There were so many okonomiyaki options that I couldn't decide, so I just went with a popular menu item. It came with a generous amount of grated yam and was absolutely delicious! The wide selection of soft drinks is also a huge plus for me, a soft drink enthusiast. This is a truly wonderful restaurant.

It's great because they basically make everything for you, so it's easy. Of course, I make the monjayaki myself, but the staff kindly teaches you how to make it. I thought I wouldn't be able to eat that much, but it was so delicious that I enjoyed various dishes with sake. I went on a Friday night and it was packed, but I didn't have to wait for sake. I thought the staff wasn't very numerous, but that was also impressive. They also had boxes for storing luggage. Genkame was a really great restaurant.

This okonomiyaki restaurant is one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog! They offer a wide variety of flavors, and the high quality is evident in the way they cook it for you. The staff was also very kind! The Genkame-yaki and the seafood okonomiyaki were both delicious!

The "Yama no Mix Genkame Yaki" with its gooey cheese is a must-try! Located just a 3-minute walk from Kinshicho Station, "Genkame" is a renowned okonomiyaki restaurant. Arriving shortly after opening on a Saturday, there was no wait and we were able to walk right in. We ordered the "Yama no Mix Genkame Yaki" (pork, beef, and sausage) for ¥1,200 and a draft beer for ¥500. It arrived in about 20 minutes. Taking a bite of the piping hot okonomiyaki, the rich flavor of the melted cheese blended perfectly with the fluffy okonomiyaki and savory sauce. The large sausage was also incredibly delicious. We enjoyed the hot okonomiyaki with our beer until the very last bite.

While I'm not an expert on okonomiyaki, nor have I eaten a ton of it, this one was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. I don't think I've ever had okonomiyaki this good before.
