Just a few months before the surge in prices, most breads were priced between ¥100 and ¥120. Now (in 2024), the majority are priced between ¥150 and ¥180, with the highest being ¥390, which is incredibly cheap and surprising (I was delighted when I found it!). Compared to other bakeries, the bread here is slightly smaller, but it's still delicious. I love their "anpan" (red bean bun), which has a generous amount of red bean paste for just ¥150! 🍞 BOULANGER VAGUE 🍞 20 locations in Chiba, Saitama, and Tochigi prefectures 🍞 Over 100 varieties of bread (sweets, savory, sandwiches, rusks, etc.) 🍞 Individually packaged since the pandemic 🍞 They use a scratch method where artisans make the dough from scratch and bake it, ensuring a consistent process from flour to finished product. They take their time, minimize waste, and keep prices low. This is the secret to their deliciousness. ← From their official website 🍞 Each bread is handmade, so the shapes are slightly different, which is charming. 🍞 Did they always have an eat-in area? I never noticed it before. It has about 10 seats. 🍞 "Boulanger" is French for "baker." The limited-edition "Kurumi Sakura Anpan" (walnut cherry blossom red bean bun) has a small amount of cherry blossom paste but includes mochi, and instead of cherry blossoms, it's decorated with walnuts. The slightly bitter and nutty flavor of the walnuts goes well with the cherry blossom paste. I enjoyed it for ¥150, feeling grateful for the price!

I visited for the first time on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, around 6 PM. I was surprised by the prices. It's amazing that most of the bread is only 150 yen these days. There was a wide variety of bread, and everything looked delicious. If this bakery were closer to my home, I would definitely be a regular customer.

A bakery located on the second floor of Super Viva Home Toyosu. It's advertised as a 100 yen bakery, but as of November 2023, the prices have increased to 120 yen (averaging 150 yen). While it's a low-priced bakery, the taste is surprisingly good for the price. Despite its small size, it offers a wide variety of breads, making it hard to choose. I recommend the maple-flavored round bread. It's slightly cheaper than other round breads, which might be why it often sells out. They frequently offer discount coupons and campaign entry tickets, making it more rewarding to become a regular customer.

I was surprised by how affordable it was! They have tons of bread for only 100 yen. It's amazing how they're still managing to keep prices low even with rising ingredient costs. The staff calling out "○○ Bread, fresh out of the oven!" adds to the down-to-earth atmosphere. It's also convenient to have an eat-in area, and they seem to be putting a lot of effort into maintaining hygiene.

100 different kinds of bread for 100 yen! (Excluding some items like shokupan.) The variety is amazing, with croissants, cream bread, anpan, savory bread, and sweet options. You'll be surprised by the wide selection. As for the taste, everything is standard and surprisingly good for 100 yen. I highly recommend stopping by. There's also an eat-in space inside with drinks, so it's a great place to stop during your shopping.
