Experience the Essence of Fruit: A Time of Supreme Delight
I went there on Saturday, right when it opened. I was told that the food preparation would take some time, but I didn't have to wait too long. The staff was also polite, and I would recommend this location over the one in the Daimaru department store on the Yaesu side. I had the Marunouchi-exclusive menu. It was consistently delicious.
I visited on a weekday evening. I was planning to have a parfait, but while browsing the menu, I got a little hungry and changed my order to the Shine Muscat half-set. It included a beef curry, a fruit sandwich, and a Shine Muscat parfait, all in half sizes. For me, the curry had a slightly spicy sauce with a smaller amount of rice, and the sandwich was fruit-heavy with a subtle sweetness. Both were incredibly delicious. The parfait, even though it was half-size, was packed full and left me feeling satisfied. I finished off with a refreshing Darjeeling milk tea. I enjoyed a leisurely time while gazing at the former Mitsubishi Bank headquarters, which is slated for demolition.
It was a humid and hot July afternoon, around 4 pm when I first entered the store. As expected of "Omi-chikiya", the interior was luxurious and perfect for a girls' gathering. In fact, the place was filled with women. I ordered the Peach Parfait (¥2800), and my partner ordered the Omi-chikiya Special Parfait (¥2800) and a blend coffee (¥350). The peaches were perfectly ripe, and each piece was cut generously, making them incredibly delicious. Except for the young girl at the register, all the staff were very friendly and provided excellent service.
I make sure to visit every year during the limited-time peach parfait season from July to August. The peaches are abundant, with a strong aroma, sweetness, and juicy texture. After trying this peach parfait, I can't bring myself to eat peaches from other places. Not only the peaches, but the vanilla ice cream and peach sorbet are also of high quality, and all the layers harmonize perfectly, making it a flawless parfait. The peaches vary greatly depending on the season, but when I come across one that is so juicy and sweet that it makes me choke when I take a bite, I feel incredibly lucky. Since the Ikspiari store in Maihama closed, I've been going to the Marunouchi store. It's a beautiful store with a high ceiling and large windows. However, unlike the Maihama and Seibu Ikebukuro stores, which were always relatively empty, there's usually a long wait.
