We dined on the dinner course! Neither my spouse nor I are big drinkers, so we didn't opt for the wine pairing, but I highly recommend it for those who enjoy wine. Every dish in the seasonal course was memorable and, of course, incredibly delicious. The portions are quite generous, and they're very attentive about offering additional bread. We were absolutely stuffed!
The interior is casual, but a glance towards the window reveals a beautiful display of real chestnut burrs. Hmm, this place seems to have something special. The food was all incredibly delicious, showcasing a refined sense of taste. The course price was also very reasonable, offering value that would easily cost twice as much elsewhere. The sauces were delicious, and I was completely satisfied. I want to go every month.
I've been a regular customer for a long time, and I recently visited for a reunion. My mother mentioned that the staff or chef had changed, and we hadn't been there for a while. But the delicious food has always been a lasting impression. She gave it a 4-star rating 6 years ago. However, this time it was absolutely perfect, deserving a 5-star rating. The B course was incredible value for money, almost too good to be true. The food was delicious and the price was very reasonable. Even the salad was incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. This time, the dishes featured ingredients from Kumamoto, so we chose a white wine from Kumamoto to accompany the meal. Everything was simply delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful. Oh, and the plates were modern and beautiful, a real inspiration. The menu changes, so it depends on the time of year, but no matter what you order, it's always fantastic.
I thought the ¥1800 lunch set with a mandatory drink was a bit pricey, but the food was delicious, the ingredients were plentiful, the plates were beautiful, and the service was excellent despite the chef working alone. It was a very positive experience. In fact, when I left the restaurant, I even thought the price was reasonable for the quality. I'd like to come back for the more expensive lunch set or dinner next time.
The menu isn't your typical run-of-the-mill French cuisine. It's thoughtfully designed, and even the desserts are made in-house. Seating is limited, so reservations are highly recommended. I visited for Saturday lunch. I made a reservation for a counter seat the other day for dinner. When I arrived, they were only accepting reservations, so it's recommended to book ahead on weekends as it's a small place. The food was delicious overall. Everything, even the ice cream in the desserts, is made in-house, so I was impressed by the chef's skills. The dishes aren't your typical, run-of-the-mill fare. They're well-thought-out. The fried fish itself was delicious, but it was a bit dry because there was no sauce. The red wine sauce was a bit underwhelming. Personally, I would have preferred a latte instead of espresso.
