Feeling like I'm on a Parisian terrace! A luxurious lunch with a course featuring two types of galettes. It's located about a 5-minute walk from the Apple Store, down a small alley. I visited around 1 pm on a weekend and was able to get a table without much of a wait. My friend recommended their lunch sets, and I went for the one with both a savory and a dessert galette. It came with soup and alcohol (cider) for 4000 yen. Raising a glass of cider on the terrace was the perfect start to a weekend! The soup was a creamy, comforting potage, and I loved the generous portion. The galettes were classic and delicious, with one featuring ham, egg, and cheese, and the other a basic, but tasty combination. I appreciated their focus on the fundamentals. The dessert, a caramel beurre salé with red fruits, was visually stunning. It was a delightful mix of sweet, cold, warm, and slightly bitter, making me feel truly pampered. The course is served leisurely, so it's perfect for a relaxing weekend. Raise a toast and enjoy a wonderful weekend!
The galette was very filling. I usually eat a lot, so I ordered the one with dessert, but I was already full after just the main course (laughs). I arrived 10 minutes before the 11:00 AM opening on a weekday (Monday) and was the first to arrive, but there were already about 5 groups waiting in line soon after. The staff were very attentive and made me feel comfortable. There were also several people dining alone. I chose the seasonal vegetable galette from the classic galette menu.
We decided to have tea on a whim and went to this place. (I've been to the Shinjuku branch before, but this was my first time at the Omotesando branch.) At the entrance, a French staff member asked me if I was a Snow Man fan. I said "yes" and they led me to the seat used for filming and told me about the menu the members ate. I wasn't in the mood for a meal, so I had a caramel and apple crepe, which was chewy and delicious. Next time, I'll go with fellow Snow Man fans and bring my acrylic stands to eat the menu from the filming. The apple juice and cider I bought to take out were also delicious. (My sister gave my father the cider as a birthday present, and he was very happy.) I want to go to Brittany someday...
Visited around 1:30 PM on a weekday. - Galette and a drink are mandatory orders. (If you order the lunch set menu, you can skip the drink. The featured cider is included in the eligible drinks.) - 70-minute time limit during busy hours. - Priority seating for reservations. I had read many reviews mentioning rude staff, so I was a bit nervous going alone. However, all the staff were very friendly and efficient. This popular restaurant always has a queue, but due to the 70-minute time limit, the turnover is fast, so I usually wait only 10-15 minutes. This was my second visit, and I didn't experience any bad service last time either. Maybe it was just luck or timing...? The salad, drink, and galette cost ¥1850. It's not too expensive for this area, and it's definitely one of the places I want to visit again ⭐︎
I visited on a weekday. There was a line because it was the time when they switched from lunch to cafe. The line disappeared when it was time for cafe use. There are terrace seats and the interior is stylish. There were many foreign staff on the floor, and they served us in a mix of Japanese and French, which created a genuine atmosphere and was fantastic! The galette was hard and not to my liking, but the crepe was chewy and very delicious! I came from out of prefecture and had a pleasant time, so I am very satisfied.
