Located on the left side of a small alleyway to the right before reaching Midtown, if you walk towards Midtown from Roppongi Station and cross the Roppongi intersection. This was my first time trying Musashi! Apparently, there are many different branches of Musashi, and this time I visited the Roppongi branch! ◆ Spicy Tsukemen (1150 yen) The noodles were so chewy that I stopped at double the amount! wwwwww The char siu was piled on top, and the soup was bright red! The spiciness hits you pretty quickly. It had a kind of soy sauce with spicy miso flavor? The sweet and salty sauce coated the noodles perfectly! There were also finely chopped pieces of meat in the dipping sauce ✨ The char siu on top of the noodles was like braised pork, so tender and flavorful with a nice char. I couldn't eat too much, the regular amount was enough for me. Meat lovers might want to get extra ⭐ Even with double the noodles, it was about the same amount as a regular tsukemen, and I finished it off easily. I think the regular amount is probably on the smaller side! So, I think about 3 times the amount would be the perfect size for me to be comfortably full. You can get up to 3.5 times the amount for free, which is a great service for big eaters ✨ I'm curious about the other flavors and ramen, so I'll definitely come back again ⭐
First visit to Menya Musashi. I had the rich tsukemen with 2.5x the noodles. The noodles are apparently mixed with pepper, but I didn't really taste it, and they were easy to eat. The pork belly was grilled and had a crispy texture, but it was mostly fat and very flavorful, so one piece was enough. The staff's instructions were clear and concise, so even during busy times, you can order without any confusion. You can get 2.5x the noodles for free, but even for noodle lovers, two servings might be just right.
I visited the Roppongi branch of Menya Musashi on a weekday around 12:30 pm. There was a 6-person wait. All the seats are at the counter, and there are many seats, so I was able to sit down quickly. I ordered the most popular "濃厚虎しょうつけ麺" (Thick Tiger Shoyu Tsukemen) and the side dish "だしご飯" (Dashi Rice). The tsukemen, as its name suggests, is characterized by its thick, rich soup and slightly flat, thick noodles. The char siu was tender and melt-in-your-mouth, despite its generous portion, and I devoured it in no time! The dashi rice was also a gentle flavor with grated ginger and pepper as accents. I was quite full, but I couldn't help but finish it all. (^o^)
The thick, impactful char siu (roasted pork) is a real showstopper! I tried their most popular rich dipping noodles for ¥1470. It's a bit pricey, but the deliciousness is worth every penny. No regrets at all! It's no wonder they're so popular. I was heading to an external meeting after lunch, so I chickened out and ordered a smaller portion, but they offer a flat rate for up to 1kg, which is pretty amazing! As the name suggests, the soup is rich and flavorful, and the smooth, flat noodles soak it up perfectly. The thick-cut smoked char siu, despite its impressive appearance, is incredibly tender and juicy! It's surprisingly light and easy to eat. It's unusual to be able to refill your dipping sauce, which is a nice touch. The person next to me was devouring a large portion of two different dipping noodle dishes all by themselves. It was quite a sight! The staff were very energetic, and one of them had a voice and delivery that reminded me of a middle schooler, which made me chuckle a bit.
I went there at 6 PM on a holiday. I was able to get a seat without waiting, which was great. I had the Tiger's Roar Tsukemen and ramen. The rich soup and thick, chewy flat noodles were a perfect match and very delicious. The roast pork was also huge, with one piece being quite filling, and the marinated egg made for a well-rounded tsukemen. The ramen had the same noodles, but the tsukemen was overwhelmingly better. I want to eat it again. The ticket machine is linked to ordering. It also accepts credit cards and various electronic money. There was no mention of additional dipping sauce anywhere, so I rated the service 4 stars.
