If you're a fan of standing soba (noodles), this is a must-try place! 😁 I visited for the first time around 3 pm on a weekday for a late lunch. The temperature outside was over 30 degrees Celsius 😩, so I had a cold tanuki soba (noodles with tempura scraps). *I've been into cold tanuki soba lately (laughs)* It was incredibly delicious, as expected of a popular spot 😋 Next time, I'll definitely come back for some kake-age soba (noodles with tempura) when it's cooler 😁 Thank you for the meal 🙏
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly good either. For the price, I'd rather go to Rokubun Soba, which is right next door and cheaper. That's probably why it wasn't crowded... **Price** As of September 9, 2024, the tempura soba is 610 yen. **Taste** You can choose between spinach, shiso, or pickled ginger for the tempura. It's fried in-house, so it's fresh. The menu says it's made with fresh soba noodles, but they felt a bit rubbery. The broth is a Kanto-style, soy sauce-based flavor.
【Location】 About a 3-minute walk from A2 Exit, Ningyocho Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. 【Visit Time】 Weekday, around 10:30 AM. 【Crowd】 Only one other customer in the shop. 【Order】 ◯ Tempura and Egg Noodle Soup (¥670) ◯ Rice Ball - Salmon (¥130) 【Review】 The tempura options include vegetable tempura, pickled ginger tempura, chrysanthemum tempura, and a few others. Many reviews mention the pickled ginger tempura as a popular choice, but I opted for the chrysanthemum tempura, which I love. The tempura batter was crispy, and the chrysanthemum had a nice bitterness and sweetness. The broth was also flavorful with a strong dashi taste. It was delicious. The onsen egg was good, and I think the price was reasonable. Thank you for the meal.
**Fukusoba**, a standing soba noodle shop in Ningyocho ✓ **Recommended Points** - Perfect for those who don't mind standing. - Soba noodles start at ¥430, and there's a wide variety of tempura options. - Tabelog rating: 3.66 (as of this posting) ✓ **Menu Ordered** - Tempura and Egg Soba ¥670 I visited twice in a row for lunch on weekdays. I'm hooked on Fukusoba's delicious soba noodles! ☺️ The fresh soba noodles have a good bite even when served warm, and the broth is packed with flavor, making it incredibly delicious! I always end up drinking it all. There's a wide variety of tempura options, and while I went in with a specific tempura in mind, I always end up wanting to try the others. This time I went with pickled ginger tempura! If you don't mind standing, I highly recommend checking it out. Thank you for the meal!
I absolutely love this standing soba noodle shop, Fuku Soba, in Ningyocho! It's located right off of Amazake Yokocho (Sweet Sake Alley). They use a ticket system. The tempura soba (with a kakiage tempura) is 610 yen. The basic kake soba is 430 yen and various tempura options are 180 yen each, so you can get the same price whether you choose the tempura soba or the basic soba with a tempura on the side. Of course, you can also add additional tempura for 180 yen. The tempura is displayed on the counter, so you can just tell them what you want. They use fresh soba noodles, and they cook them after you order, so it takes a little while to get your food, but that's no problem! The freshly cooked noodles have a great texture and are delicious! The cold soba is also delicious! It was hot outside today, so I had cold soba with kakiage tempura. The broth is made with the highest quality, two-year-aged, thick-cut bonito flakes, and it's so flavorful and refined that it doesn't overpower the soba noodles. It's truly delicious! It's a bit pricey for a standing soba shop, but the ingredients are so high quality that it's totally worth it! They fry the tempura in small batches and keep it warm, but they'll also fry it fresh if you ask. The owner and his wife are incredibly kind and friendly. This is a true gem in Ningyocho. Thank you for the delicious meal!
