I visited on a weekday afternoon. I happened to see a ramen shop with a line while on my way back from eating udon. I noticed they were using Kaika-ro noodles, which piqued my interest, so I looked it up and found out it was a popular place. I joined the line, which had about six people. I bought a ticket beforehand and ordered the limited-edition cold Ni-bongore. The opening was efficient, and I was seated within 10 minutes. The ramen arrived about four minutes after I sat down. The appearance was simple, and the soup had a delicious aroma of garlic and dried bonito. I took a sip of the soup first, and it was incredibly salty. However, there was a subtle hint of dried bonito and garlic, along with a faint seafood aroma. But the saltiness was overwhelming. Next, I tried the noodles, which had a strong wheat flavor. They were thin and firm, with a satisfying texture, but the saltiness overpowered everything. It was good, but something felt off. It wasn't mind-blowingly delicious, but it had an addictive quality. That's how I'd describe the flavor. However, at 1,400 yen, it felt a bit pricey. I also felt a bit unsatisfied, so I ordered a Sanji-tama (extra egg). It was also just okay. I was still feeling a bit confused, so I ordered the Crazy Crab, their regular ramen. The saltiness was again very strong, and the soup had a slight thickness. It seemed like they had simmered onions to create a thick, savory sauce that was supposed to mellow out the saltiness, but honestly, I couldn't handle it. The noodles were the same as before, but the thickness of the soup made them feel a bit powdery, and the flavor wasn't very good. Overall, I was a bit disappointed, especially considering my high expectations. However, the service was lively, and seeing the staff interacting warmly with regulars made me think this is a ramen shop loved by the locals. Thank you for the meal!
I had been wanting to try this place for a while. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the food was delicious and worth it. This time I ordered the "Roasted Rich Niboshi Ramen" for 1000 yen. The broth was rich and creamy with a strong niboshi flavor, and the thin noodles were a perfect match. Theチャーシュー (chashu) was thinly sliced and the presentation was stylish. The interior was more relaxed than I expected from the strict-looking exterior. There were regulars chatting with the staff, but people who wanted to eat quietly were also able to do so. It's probably best to eat and leave quickly, considering the opening hours and limited seating. Thank you for the meal.
I've never been to a ramen shop with such a great atmosphere before. It's so homey, it's unbelievable! Even though I'm not very talkative, the staff's friendly demeanor makes me smile. I had the "Crazy Crab" ramen and the "Wae-dama" (mixed noodles). The soup was incredibly rich. I almost choked on the first sip! It wasn't just a crab-flavored broth, it was a well-balanced seafood soup. The soft-boiled egg was the perfect complement to everything. Now I understand why the ramen master keeps coming back... The "Wae-dama" also had delicious sliced char siu. I finished by mixing the remaining soup with the "Wae-dama" and adding garlic. It was amazing! For the first time ever, I didn't use all the garlic. The original flavor was so well-balanced that I just wanted to savor it. As a result, I had garlic left over for the first time in my life. I'm sorry, chef! It was incredibly delicious.
I went around 1 pm on Saturday. There was a line, and we had to wait outside next to the air conditioner unit, so it was hot. I ordered the abalone liver vongole, which was featured on TV. It was too salty for me. Younger people might like it. Also, even though I have a small appetite, the portion was small, and one serving wasn't enough for me.
For more details, please check my profile.🙇 【Order】 Crazy Crab ¥1,200 ・ Quail eggs ¥100 ・ Wae-dama (mixed noodles) ¥300 【Soup】 The rich, thick soup lives up to its name, "Crazy Crab." 🦀 That's right! I came here for this!🤭 The garlic you get for flavor changes is also amazing!🥴🤛 Thank you for this unchanging deliciousness!🥰 【Noodles】 The thin noodles from Kaika-ro are "an unbeatable combination."🫶 【Char Siu】 The thinly sliced, sous-vide char siu🥓 is on another level.😅 It wouldn't feel out of place even if it were served as part of a course at a luxury hotel.🙂↔️ 【Wae-dama】※Same comment as last time It's not an exaggeration to say this is the strongest wae-dama in history!✨⁉️ My first ever wae-dama was here at "Sanji," and I was so impressed by it that I always order it whenever I see it on a menu. But to this day, I haven't found anything that surpasses this wae-dama.😳💥 Did anyone watch the "Kamaimachi" episode that aired on May 23rd after my visit?⁉️ Sanji won the Ueno Gourmet No. 1 award!🤩 Congratulations to Kin-chan (owner) and Mama (owner's wife)!👏👏👏 However, I'm curious about the winning dish, the "Abalone Liver Nibungore" daily special.😳⁉️ It's not my beloved Crazy Crab!⁉️💦💦 I'm a little too curious about the Abalone Liver Nibungore.😱 I wonder if they'll offer it for the rest of the week 🤔 Gosso-san!^_^🙏
