【Poor Handling of Anisakis】 The sushi was delicious, but unfortunately, I found anisakis in the Kinmedai (golden eye snapper) sushi served later. Initially, I noticed a long, thin white object protruding from the sushi topping. When I poked it with my chopsticks, it wiggled, revealing it to be anisakis. The chef's response after I informed him about the anisakis was also terrible. He simply removed the anisakis, leaving the rest of the Kinmedai sushi untouched. He didn't even bother to collect the remaining piece. He simply offered to deduct the price of the Kinmedai sushi and apologized, ending the matter. It was truly shocking to find anisakis at a top-tier sushi restaurant. I was fortunate to have noticed it, but the thought of unknowingly consuming it sends chills down my spine. I had a reservation for a future visit, but I canceled it. I will never go back. I usually only write reviews when asked, but this experience was so shocking that I felt compelled to share my experience.
【Hakkoku Sushi, Ginza】 This is a super famous sushi restaurant in Ginza. It has a stylish waiting room, so you won't have to wait outside, which is great! You know how some sushi restaurants have a ton of a la carte dishes? You end up eating so much of them that by the time you get to the sushi, you're already full. Hakkoku is different! It's all about the nigiri! Nigiri! Nigiri! 22 pieces? 3 pieces? I don't remember, but it seems like the nigiri just keeps coming. If you're truly craving sushi, this is the place to go. You're guaranteed to have a blissful experience. They serve two courses of vegetables in between the sushi to cleanse your palate, and they really do the trick. The rice is a bit smaller than usual, so even women can probably handle this amount. I have a feeling that the earlier pieces are always the best, haha.
I went there because I'm a trend follower! Reservations are easy to get. 30 rolls in one go! It's amazing!
The owner's cheerful personality and the great jokes that come out at a rapid pace are fantastic. I love the upscale atmosphere that doesn't feel pretentious.
I purchased a membership lunch ticket for Hakkoku in Ginza, which has a rating of over 4 on Tabelog, through Makuake. However, due to the pandemic, I couldn't go and the expiration date was approaching, so I finally visited. The entrance on the first floor of the building didn't have a name, so I honestly couldn't find it and was in trouble, but I found it by the building name. It looked like a mixed-use building, but once inside, the dark atmosphere and stylish interior made me think it was a club? After passing through the entrance, there was a bright counter with a space for about 6 people. We started with hand-rolled tuna sushi. The color of the rice clearly indicated that it was red vinegar, which I don't like, but the red vinegar here wasn't too sour and was just right. Sometimes, the vinegar is too strong at other restaurants, and while I understand that the quality of the ingredients is high, it doesn't suit my taste. However, that wasn't the case here, and the vinegar went well with all the ingredients. Their specialty is tuna from Yamayuki, and I think the red vinegar sushi goes well with everything from lean meat to fatty tuna. This time, I purchased it through Makuake, and the first time was ¥11,000, and subsequent visits are ¥12,000. For this price and quality, it's a winner. I was quite full this time, and I thought I wouldn't be able to eat 30 pieces for about twice the price at night, but when I asked, I was told that the amount of rice at night is half, and the total amount of rice is almost the same. So, you can enjoy a wider variety of flavors than at lunch, and it seems like dinner is also good, so I'd like to visit again when I have the chance. #HakkokuGinza #Hakkoku #GinzaSushi #GinzaSushiLunch #GinzaLunch #SushiLover #Makuake
