I visited the shop around 8 pm and found it already bustling with people, so I had to wait about 5 minutes. I ordered the pistachio and strawberry cake, which was incredibly satisfying with its generous use of strawberries. My companion chose the melon and mango parfait, which was equally luxurious with its abundance of fruit and stunning presentation. Both desserts were delicious, and we had a wonderful time. I definitely plan to visit again.
This was my second visit. I was so hungry that I ordered the fruit salad. I was torn between the seasonal fig cake and the fruit salad, but I went with the salad! My friend had the strawberry and pistachio cake. The fruit in the salad was sweet, but the strawberries in the cake were tart! I was impressed by how they used different types of fruit for each dish.
I stopped by a cake shop on the sixth floor of Hikarie in Shibuya in May 2024. I was surprised to see large cakes lined up in the display case visible from outside, unlike anything I've seen recently. They were about 10cm tall, 7cm wide, and 15cm long. The cakes with plenty of strawberries and watermelon were particularly impressive. Some cakes were almost entirely made of watermelon, as if the fruit was the star and the cake was just a supporting role. This size and uniqueness are truly one of a kind. The taste was also excellent. I tried it out of curiosity, but the deliciousness of the fruit stood out. It was a new experience to buy a cake to enjoy the fruit. Visiting this cake shop was a precious opportunity to enjoy elegant and luxurious cakes. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who wants to try unusual cakes.
I visited for lunch. Initially, I waited for a staff member to guide me at the entrance, but three staff members glanced at me and ignored me. It was lunchtime, but they didn't seem that busy, so I wasn't impressed. The clientele was diverse, with couples, families, friends, and even solo diners who had comfortable seating. After a while, I was seated and ordered the mixed pancake. The fruit was incredibly delicious, a pleasant surprise. Each piece was fresh and bursting with flavor. The pancake itself was decent, nothing special, but it was enjoyable with a touch of maple syrup and the fruit. (I suppose the fruit was the main attraction.) My companion ordered the seafood Doria, and I had a bite. It was very tasty. The turmeric rice was a bit firm, with a slight bite to it, which I enjoyed. The seafood included clams, small shrimp, and squid. The staff who served and took our order were very pleasant and provided excellent service.
I had the daily curry and the zuppa inglese. Both were very satisfying. I went at 11:30 am on a weekday and there were 3 groups waiting, but I was able to get in within 15 minutes. The restaurant is spacious, which is nice. The service was also polite and the food came out quickly.
