My kids asked me to find some chocolates for my wife for White Day, so I went searching in Roppongi Hills. I remembered that Robert Linxe, known as the "Ganache Magician," has a popular shop in Marunouchi. The shop has a cafe-like atmosphere with an eat-in corner. The display case was filled with delicious-looking chocolates and macarons. I decided to get the seasonal SAKURA Flurry set. My wife tried one and, as described, it was a chocolate with a cherry blossom flavor that captured the essence of spring. My wife, who loves chocolate, said it was delicious, so it must be good.
I recently indulged in some exquisite chocolate at the Roppongi Hills branch of a renowned chocolate specialty shop that originated on the chic Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, France. While seating is limited, the store allows for in-store dining, providing a delightful experience to savor the chocolates. Given the warm weather, I opted for the refreshing 'Grasse & Sorbet Assortment' (¥1,540). This assortment allows you to choose two flavors from a selection of chocolate ice cream, caramel ice cream, and raspberry sorbet. I personally selected the chocolate ice cream and raspberry sorbet. The rich, velvety chocolate with its elegant sweetness paired perfectly with the tangy and refreshing raspberry sorbet, creating a truly harmonious and delicious combination.
I received this as a gift. The rich, dark chocolate is delicious, not too sweet. My senior said it's less sweet than Parisian chocolate. I prefer this bitter flavor.
【Casual/Recommended for Dates】At the Roppongi Hills store, my husband and I had our first dine-in experience! The store isn't very large, with only about three tables for dine-in. We were lucky to find a table available 😊. We ordered the chocolate cake (¥770 and up), caramel éclair (¥715), cappuccino (¥864), and a blend coffee (¥756). I absolutely love La Maison du Chocolat's chocolate cake and éclairs, so I was in a state of pure bliss while eating them 😋❤︎. The éclair had a rich caramel flavor that was delicious ✨. Many people were also taking out pastries. Whether it's for takeout or dine-in, I'll definitely be visiting again!
I was torn between the showcase and the menu, and once I sat down, the kind staff member gave me some great recommendations. The "Entremets Traviata" chocolate cake, with its beautiful, glossy dome, looks intensely bitter, but it's actually quite sweet overall. The dacquoise and praline at the bottom add a nice texture, and the chocolate and vanilla cream on top are smooth and rich. It's delicate, so it's best enjoyed at the cafe rather than taking it out. The "Mousse au Chocolat" is a uniform tone and even sweeter than the Entremets Traviata. I'm looking forward to trying the glass and sorbet next time.
