Jean-Paul Hévin, which opened in June 2023 on the second basement floor of Mitsukoshi Ginza, is known for its delicious macarons. I visited to purchase some. I bought an 8-piece macaron box (¥2,916). The macarons have a subtle sweetness, allowing you to savor the flavors of the ingredients. They have a light, chewy texture that is addictive. The 8 macaron flavors were as follows: * Pistache: Pistachio-flavored pâte d'amande and bitter chocolate ganache with a crunchy pistachio nougatine. * Framboise: Bitter chocolate ganache with Venezuelan cocoa and raspberry flavors that complement each other. * Orange: Milk chocolate ganache with a refreshing flavor of orange juice and zest. * Amer: Bitter chocolate ganache with a strong cocoa flavor. * Caramel: Caramel-flavored ganache with a crunchy caramel almond nougatine. * Vanille: White chocolate ganache with luxurious Madagascar vanilla. * Fraise: Strawberry and white chocolate ganache with a hint of lime.

This is the Jean-Paul Hévin store that opened on June 16, 2023, on the B1 floor of the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. It sells sweets and also has a bar chocolat. I went there because they had limited-edition sweets for the grand opening. I ordered the following: * **Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store Limited** Poing Zero * Parisian The Poing Zero cake is inspired by the starting point of the Nihonbashi road and the Notre Dame Cathedral, the starting point of roads in France. The Peruvian cocoa mousse is delicious with its bitter flavor, the rich sweetness and richness of the pistachio, and the subtle aroma of alcohol. The chocolat chaud is the basic Parisian. The classic chocolate drink is delicious with its sweetness and richness.

Jean-Paul Hévin's macarons are so delicious, I could eat them all day long. Their chocolates, cakes, and marrons glacés are all incredibly tasty, but I think their macarons are the best I've ever had. I often buy them when I've accomplished something, when I'm happy, when I'm feeling down, when I'm struggling, or when I need a boost. The store is elegant, like a high-end salon, but even a box of four macarons is only ¥1458, which is very reasonable. It's also notable that there are many male customers compared to other chocolatiers. I think the reason for this is that the macarons are generally not too sweet, and the light flavor and texture of the ingredients appeal to men. They also make a great little gift.

I purchased some baked goods, so this review will only be about the baked goods I bought. Jean-Paul Hévin, the renowned chocolate wizard, is known for his delicious pastries. All of the pastries were delicious, but the financier chocolat marron was a particular favorite.

I always look forward to the seasonal specials!🥱 This time, I tried the Verrine Chocolat Cafe. There were two other flavors, but I don't like them, so I went with this one.🍫 According to the website, it's "a combination of cream made with Panama coffee beans known for their fruity aroma and a light Brazilian cocoa mousse." The moment it hits your mouth, it melts away with a slight fizz. The coffee cream had a wonderful aroma. There was also a sponge soaked in sweet coffee at the bottom, and I devoured it in no time. I'll definitely buy it again before it's gone!☺︎
