I visited the Grand Food Hall Roppongi store! There were so many items I hadn't seen before, and it felt like they were all focused on healthy ingredients. The deli is said to be made with no additives by a chef who takes pride in making delicious food. I wanted to buy some prepared dishes, but I had plans so I'll have to come back next time. It looked so good... There was a restaurant and a bar. The space was very stylish.
This is the place to go for great ingredients and seasonings! I often buy unusual dressings and condiments here. For lunch, I recommend the choice box where you can select three side dishes for 1500 yen. You can choose from a variety of side dishes sold by weight (100g per price) and three types of fried food, so you can enjoy a healthy meal or indulge in some more expensive options. In the past, you could choose between brown rice or white rice, but this time they also had a mushroom rice option! The pizzas sold for lunch are also delicious and very reasonably priced.
I'm not familiar with Roppongi, so I got lost in Roppongi Hills because there were so many towers. I couldn't get a sense of the distance between the towers, so I kept going back and forth. I'm steadily racking up my steps today. As always, I'm on the hunt for stores that sell cute food-related gifts. This one was recommended by a friend. Let me tell you, the moment I stepped inside, I was like, 'Yep, I love it!' and 'This is amazing!' It's packed with wonderful things, like slightly luxurious home condiments and food, stylish teas that would make great gifts. It's attached to a restaurant, and the lunch menu looks delicious. It doesn't seem like they offer wrapping, so it's more suitable for bringing something to a home party than a gift. They have a great selection of drinks to go, which made me want to try them all. But they're a bit pricey. It's Roppongi Hills, after all. I noticed a lemonade being chilled by the register and bought it with soda water. The paper straw is cute. The tartness is perfect for summer. The big lemon is refreshing. My stomach is full.
The Grand Food Hall in Roppongi Hills, also known as Graho, is a high-end grocery store. It features a curated selection of gourmet condiments and frozen foods that you won't find in other supermarkets. They have freshly made almond butter and peanut butter, and after trying them, I was blown away by how delicious they were. The almond butter was a bit pricey, but I couldn't resist buying a 150g jar for 874 yen. It's seriously good! The staff is also very friendly and helpful. This place is perfect for a little indulgence or for finding a special gift. They also have an eat-in area, and I've heard good things about their lasagna and soft serve ice cream, so I'm definitely going to try them next time.
While some products are a bit hit-or-miss, it's fun to browse. They have a good selection of frozen goods. I tend to be cautious about what I buy. Nowadays, their prepared foods are probably cheaper than DELUCA, though I prefer DELUCA's taste. I was curious about their soft serve made with just sugar and milk. It looked perfect, but it wasn't really soft serve. It felt like a poorly made gelato, lacking smoothness and with a grainy texture. The flavor wasn't bad, though. I wonder if they gave up on it during the trial phase? It's okay for the price, but for 600 yen, Sadaharu Aoki's ice cream is definitely better.
