They even had a cafe au lait flavor exclusive to the Mitsukoshi store, which was adorable. They have seasonal boxes where you can choose your own macarons, and the boxes are so cute I can't bear to throw them away. Even the paper bags are so cute I want to keep them forever. I also have Ladurée cosmetics, so buying macarons is always a treat. They're quite expensive, so I want to savor them slowly until their expiration date.
I went to Ladurée Ginza! Ladurée is known for making sweets for Christian Dior. Ladurée is also famous for its macarons. I bought an Ispahan for ¥1000 and a seasonal limited-edition shortcake, Musca, for ¥900. I was so excited. When I got home and ate the Musca, my daughter said the sponge was dry. I ended up eating the rest. Hmm, the cream was definitely delicious, but the sponge wasn't moist. My daughter said the Ispahan was delicious and interesting. She said the texture was new to her. The Ispahan is made with raspberry and lychee sandwiched between macarons. The tartness is so good! ❤️ My daughter doesn't like macarons, so I hadn't bought Ladurée sweets for a long time. But as expected of Ladurée, it was delicious. Ladurée is definitely all about macarons!
I recently visited the new Ladurée Ginza boutique, which opened on the second basement floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi. Did you know you can have afternoon tea at home with their sets? This was my first time trying it! ❤️ The boutique has a sophisticated, green-themed interior, and beautiful sweets are displayed in the showcase. As expected of Ladurée, the service at the Ginza store is excellent. ◉ Home Afternoon Tea Set Contents Starting at ¥2,160 (tax included) per person (Includes one pastry of your choice, two macarons, one Eugénie, one tea bag, a napkin, and a set of cutlery). You can choose your favorite items in-store. The cutlery looks like real silverware, which is surprising! It's made of plastic and I plan to use it repeatedly at home. The special box and paper bag designed for the home afternoon tea set are so cute, they'd make a wonderful gift! ❤️❤️❤️ ◎ I chose the Élysée chocolate cake for my pastry. I selected pistachio and caramel macarons. I love the delicate pistachio aroma that spreads in your mouth. ❤️ The caramel is rich and the macaron shell is incredibly delicious. ◎ The Eugénie chocolate confection is made with a crispy rose sablé dough, which is also delicious. (Eugénie was the name of Napoleon III's empress.) ◎ The tea sachet was 'Thé Mélange Ladurée'. It's a blend of orange peel, rose petals, blackberries, and other ingredients, creating a fragrant and elegant tea with a delightful flavor. I had a wonderful time enjoying afternoon tea at home! There are also palmiers and canelé available exclusively at the Ginza store. ◉ Palmier (¥519 tax included) This is a delicious, moist pie with a crispy surface. It's rich in butter, but the sweetness is relatively restrained, making it easy to eat. I absolutely loved it! ❤️
On May 6, 2024, I purchased a small gift at Ladurée Ginza, located on the B2F of Ginza Mitsukoshi. While I was looking for something with a longer shelf life besides their signature macarons and cakes, I came across some adorable cookie and langue de chat tins. Since there weren't any tins with a mix of different baked goods, I bought two tins, one with cookies and one with langue de chat. Purchased on May 6, 2024, the cookies have an expiration date of May 26th, and the langue de chat expire on June 14th. It's good that there's enough time to eat them after I give them next week. Even though the salon is gone, I can still get their famous strawberry-shaped cake and macarons for takeout here. I'll have to get some next time and share them with the kids. Thank you so much. #GinzaGift #GinzaSouvenir #GinzaMitsukoshi #GinzaMitsukoshiSweets #GinzaMitsukoshiPastries #GinzaPastries #Ginza #LadureeGinza #Laduree #LADUREE #Macarons #LangueDeChat #Cookies #PetitGift
Matcha Afternoon Tea, ¥6,600 x 2 I visited Ladurée's Salon de Thé in Ginza Mitsukoshi, which is announced to close at the end of August 2023. The view overlooks Ginza Wako and the Ginza 4-chome intersection. This atmosphere in the heart of Ginza is understandable why it's popular with women. The afternoon tea is themed around matcha, featuring savory dishes, macarons, pastries (cakes), one hot drink, and one cold drink. There are no muffins, and the overall volume is on the smaller side. The macarons are 'Vanilla' and Kyoto-limited Gion Tsujiri supervised 'Matcha'. 2023.06.22
