Even though it was just past 11 am during lunchtime, the restaurant was bustling with energy, and many people were happily enjoying their curry. This lively atmosphere heightened my anticipation. This time, I ordered the two-curry set that I had been particularly interested in. I chose "Creamy Corn Chicken" and "Chili Vinegar Keema." Both had enticing names, but would their flavors live up to the hype? While waiting, I gazed at the interior and the spice-scented kitchen, my excitement growing. The Creamy Corn Chicken caught my eye first. It was a dish where the rich sweetness of corn stood out, and the chicken was tender and braised to the point of melting in my mouth. The creamy corn created a gentle flavor that was almost like dessert, surprisingly mild for a spicy curry. Next came the Chili Vinegar Keema. I visited for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It's a small, popular curry shop located on a street lined with famous restaurants, just a short walk from Ginza Station. The curry options are typically chicken and a daily special, or a combination of both with additional toppings. Weekday lunches are slightly cheaper. On the day I visited, the chicken curry was sweet ginger chicken, and the daily special was mustard keema. Both sounded delicious, so I opted for the two-curry combo. The sweet ginger chicken had a strong ginger kick amidst the authentic spices, creating a spicy and flavorful experience that warmed my body. I wish the chicken pieces were a bit larger. The mustard keema didn't have a strong mustard flavor, but it was a delicious blend of various spices, offering a well-balanced taste with a distinct meaty flavor. ★

【Ginza】 I walked from Yurakucho, but it was a familiar route so I got there quickly. When I arrived at 5:30 PM, there was a couple at the ticket machine and one customer at the counter. It was a relaxed time, so it seemed like I could take my time. First, I ordered the two-curry set, the Italian Chicken (medium spicy) and the Blue Curaçao Keema (medium spicy) of the day. I also had to get the spice egg, so I clicked it. I chose the medium size rice, 250g. You can also choose small or large. It arrived in 3 minutes, that's fast! It seemed like they were watching which button I pressed. Even though it was medium spicy, it wasn't that spicy, but it had a good kick of spice and was delicious. It was interesting to use Blue Curaçao in curry, but I wish it was bluer.

I visited this place for the first time. I arrived at 11:30 am on a weekday in July 2024, and there were two customers ahead of me and three behind. I purchased a ticket from the vending machine on the left side of the entrance, sat down at an empty seat, and submitted my ticket. I was asked about the rice portion size and requested a large serving. There were three female staff members, and most of the customers were women. The food arrived in about four minutes. On this day, the options were a soy sauce chicken with shishito peppers and a daily special of plum and perilla pork. Both were labeled as medium spicy, but the spiciness was mild. However, the dishes had a variety of spices that added depth and complexity. If you want it spicier, there is chili powder on the table. The soy sauce chicken had a subtle soy sauce flavor. The chicken was flavorful and delicious. The plum and perilla pork was a surprise, with the tartness of the plum and the refreshing aroma of the perilla complementing the curry well. The pork was also tender and delicious. The rice seemed to be turmeric rice. A large serving would be filling even for a man. The side dishes were colorful, and there were also pickled vegetables on the table, which prevented the meal from becoming monotonous. This dish is worthy of its hundred-best-restaurant status. Considering the location and current prices, the value for money is quite good. The service was good, but I did notice the staff chatting amongst themselves a bit, which was a little distracting.
